Venture Coffee Co

So excited to see a coffee house with good food! There are so many places to grab coffee and sugary pastries, but Ballard really needed a great place that also had delicious food without an hour wait. So happy to have this place! The staff are always extremely friendly (can’t say that for most places or coffeehouses around Ballard) and the inside is cozy and comfy. Great addition to the neighborhood!

Their brown sugar and rosemary Iced coffee is fantastic!!!! I’m so excited to have this spot right next to where I live! They are also so friendly!

I was at venture today and overheard and extremely uncomfortable encounter. It seemed like an employee was getting fired. The manager brought her outside and proceeded to tell her she was no longer welcome back. The poor girl seemed very surprised and distraught. I couldn't believe they would do something like this in public. YIKES. I like their coffee but can't believe they treat employees this way. Definitely reconsidering my patronage.

Cute little corner coffee shop. They roast their own coffee and make all their pastries in house. I tried the brown sugar & rosemary latte and a delightful raspberry bar. The coffee was perfect in everyday. Not too sweet with just a hint of rosemary, creamy & smooth. Barista, Izzy, was super friendly too!

Always a shame when a neighborhood favorite turns out to be such a disappointment. I frequented Venture until my wife and I witnessed an extremely distressing encounter between management and a barista we always knew to be extraordinarily friendly and good at her job. To fire an employee with seemingly no warning in the middle of business hours, on the sidewalk, and in front of customers is not only an absolutely abhorrent business practice, it is also extremely unethical. This complete mistreatment and blatant disrespect of their employees will prevent Cafe Hagan and Venture Coffee from ever seeing my patronage again.

Cute neighbourhood cafe with the best coffee in all of Ballard. Friendly staff, great pastries and breakfast, also love the creative seasonal drink flavours! They’re currently following state Covid guidelines to make everyone feel safe.

The coffee and service is still great and the renovation looks good! The space feels a lot lighter now. Definitely give it a try!

My wife and son have been getting coffee and breakfast sandwiches here a few times in the past couple of months. The staff is always very friendly and the orders come out quick. Everything is always delicious. It’s a fantastic local Ballard spot for coffee and breakfast/lunch.

The counter girl shot me a dirty look the moment I walked in, as if I wasn't young and cool enough to go in there. She got downright snotty when I tried to pay with cash, because cash is for old people now I guess. Then after all that uppity, sorority girl-type sass, their overpriced coffee was lousy. It had a sour, under-roasted flavor and I ended up throwing it out. I won't go back in there, ever.

Don’t go here if you want exceptional service. The baristas here are disrespectful to those that are different races other than caucasian. Especially the one barista, with dark hair greets everyone except darker skinned people. Just get coffee down the street, way better and the service is better.
