Came here with my two teen daughters. Decent food, except the burgers were incredibly greasy and so thin they fell apart (the actual meat) in chunks. The beef must have been 70/30 but how they managed to make salmon so greasy, I'll never know. Fries were the best part of the $16 burger.
As for sides, the pickled veg was delightful. The baked bread was also quite good, except at $6 for such a small loaf, it's definitely not a good value - especially when it's on the menu as 'bread service'. Maybe if it wasn't on a big round plate making it seem so small, I'd have been tricked into believing it was bigger.
Service was poor AT BEST. $5 for a soda that was refilled once in a 1h15m visit. Also, water was filled exactly once even though I asked for two glasses and explained I was very thirsty today. We arrived at the end of a bit of a rush, but sat for 25+ minutes as one of 4 occupied tables before appetizers came. Another 35 minutes before the mains.
$100 with a tip that reflected the service, for a lunch of 3 burgers (one salmon), 3 $6 appetizers, 2 sodas and one alcoholic beverage served. Not worth the cost or the wait, mostly paying for the location, it seems.
Positives: has great atmosphere, the drinks are great, and our server was very friendly Negatives: we were ignored upon entering the restaurant, the food was bland, the fried fish was only about 3in long and mostly batter, and the fries were cold and hard. Not crispy, hard as a rock all the way through.
We were a party of three, two of us got fish and chips, the other got their shrimp corn chowder and an order of clams.
The fish and chips were great, as was their tartar sauce, and malt vinegar was already at the table if you enjoy that addition. The fries (chips) were house made and seasoned with a mix of herbs that went very well with them, though sadly if you have dogs I don't suggest bringing them the left overs because a few they shouldn't have.
I tried one of the clams and I have to say as someone who typically hates clams/ oysters because of their texture, these were great, they were more like the consistency of a scallop than a... well a word that shouldn't be included in food reviews, but I'm sure you can guess. They had a touch of a chewier texture than a scallop, but of course they did, they were clams. I would order these for myself.
I did not try the chowder, but both other people at the table enjoyed it, and it has bacon so bonus points without even trying it.
Portions were sizeable, I'm a big guy and I didn't finish my fries, and there was no room for dessert, but my friend and I were eyeballing that brownie sundae so that will happen in the future.
We were seated in a timely manor. The server was pleasant. I ordered the corn chowder. It had good flavor but the potatoes were undercooked. My lunch partner had a salmon burger and fries. She expected it to be a piece of grilled salmon instead of a patty mixed with onion and seasoning. The fries were dry all the way the through, the server offer to bring a fresh cooked order, they weren't much better. The lunch was mediocre. It was disappointing.
Had lunch here and it was excellent. The pickle appetizer was awesome too. Nashville sammich had a great chili sauce to it. Traffic is a bit bustling but we sat outside and it was still nice.
Excellent food- somethingfor everyone, good portions and fresh. The pickled vegetables, fresh fish and chips and hot chicken sandwich are a favorite for my family. Great place for out of town visitors. Great view of the water with a fresh breeze- outdoor seating is available.
The menus has great tasting food. One of my favorite places to eat,. The wife and I go here on a regular basis. The manager is Dwight he always recognizes us, and stops what he is doing to take time speaking, and chatting with us. We really feel welcomed there. The staff smiles, and makes you feel very welcomed. The Staff are always attentive to your every need. I always look forward to going there for a tasty meal, being treated by the great by the staff, and enjoying the great atmosphere.
My husband and I came for dinner and sat outside. While pleasant, the traffic on Friday evening doesn’t make for a peaceful experience. The food was excellent and so was the service. My only complaint is the dog. WHY do people feel it’s necessary to bring their dogs to dinner!? It barked, more than once, was unruly and we didn’t like it. If I go back, I will stay inside where they don’t t allow dogs! Or find a restaurant that knows dogs don’t belong.

Best Nashville chicken sandwiches! Service lacking a little but could be due to the peak times I go.

Really good food and nice atmosphere. The outdoor seating was perfect for a summer evening right by the boardwalk.
