Awesome place in the heart of downtown, right next to the waterfront, great food, amazing staff, cool ambience.
The menu has very limited options; for vegetarians there's only 1 item on the mains, Mac and cheese, but it's the best Mac and cheese ever. Their garlic cheese bread is outstanding as well. Nachos and salsa was just fine. Bread service with herb butter was pretty good as well. Ask them for the pies, it's not on the menu, but they have 2-3 flavors on any night. T We tried the coconut creme pie, it was delicious.
No vegan options.
Non alcoholic drinks are also super limited. But good options if you enjoy alcohol. Their coffee was amazing.
Shout out to the staff who was serving us, she was amazing and super cheerful.
The restaurant is close to bittersweet chocolates downtown which is awesome. We had the fish and chips and the salmon Niçoise salad. My husband loved the fish and chips. The salad was good as well. I think it just needed a tad more seasoning. They have boozy desserts for grown ups. The second time here we had the bouillabaisse and fish and chips. It was delicious.
I swear this place makes the best salmon in town. It's just really cooked to perfection and I love there red sauce they have on it. The service is really good. Best time to go is during lunch time. The portions are big too.
In the words of my husband “the best salmon burger in the area!” He loved the artisanal feel of his salmon burger, and I couldn’t get enough of the fluffy garlic bread followed by deliciously garlicky steak frites! Cocktails were delightful, as were the views, we love the downtown Oly area:) we definitely recommend this nautical lunch spot + views!
This is an amazing place friendly staff seems to have a lot to offer I'm very pleased to see more options in the Downtown Olympia area. Unfortunately the food was below avg no flavor although the fries were up to par. I chose the Steak.... Why I do not know I should have stuck with seafood but my experience here was still good I will come back for the seafood.
Super yummy food, a beautiful atmosphere (we loved all the unique art) and excellent service. We had the oyster Bahn Mi, fried chicken sandwich and the fish tacos and everyone enjoyed their meals!
Overall great place to eat right on the boardwalk. Mariner themed but not necessarily a fish house. The steak frite is superb! On a previous trip had the Mac n cheese and was not sorry. Sorry mom there's is better. The drinks however... Ordered a classic daiquiri and the glass came with no ice, lime juice and rum and half the rim was sugared. Not like any kind of daiquiri I have ever had in my 30 plus years of drinking lol. I drank the whole thing because it was $9 but I'll never order it again. I will visit Row again though the food was worth it
Pretty good food! Location is prime - right next to the marina, beautiful spot. I can imagine how great it must be to hang out there in the summertime. Nice vibe to the place.
Went to Row for the first time today, and what a treat! I had the cheeseburger--perfectly cooked, super fresh bun, and just the right blend of toppings--and my wife had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. Many times, those are just slathered in hot sauce--all heat, no flavor--but this one was cooked and flavored expertly: sweet with pleasant heat, super tender, delicious!
The ambiance was great! Although there was a decent sized lunch crowd, the space feels open and intimate (kudos to whomever installed sound-absorbing panels on the ceiling--yes, we noticed!).
The entire space was immaculate, including the bathrooms, and even the condiment containers on the table were spotless. Not all restaurants have this level of attention to detail.
Finally, Alisha was a fantastic server. She was friendly and welcoming and took the time to give us thoughtful menu recommendations.
So glad we have this great little spot in Olympia! We will be back again and again!
P.S. One final note: because of my wife's soy allergy, she can't eat soy-based foods or foods cooked in soy oil. Alisha promptly checked with the kitchen to make sure there was no soy in the food or oil. Thanks for spending the extra money to use quality ingredients, Row! Mwah!
I finally got a chance to try this spot and experience the food. For a Saturday, the restaurant wasn't too busy and they were able to seat us quickly. The waitress was great and answered my million questions and we were greeted at each and every threshold. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich was toned down for the PNW but delicious. The steak was good but had some cold butter tossed on top that never melted. I assume it was supposed to but wasn't that effective. Shrimp toast was tasty. Overall, good. I'm a big believer in the "We want plates" movement so one point is taken off for the sandwich being served on a flat piece of plastic. It was a humongous mess and inconvenience to share.
