Great service, good space. Large pour for wine and bottles are reasonably priced as restaurant prices go. Food is Excellent- mac and cheese is to die for... Had the smoked salmon dish and it was amazing.
That had to be hands down the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had! I had them put the spicy honey on the side because I’m a bit of a spice wuss (which even that was delicious on its own), but dear God that sandwich was good. The garlic fries were amazing as well and I’m not even a huge fan of garlic. Definitely coming back to this place. 🥰
Love the mainstays in downtown Olyie for food don’t get me wrong but we needed this restaurant!
You can see all the details put into the design and functionality of the space. Fantastic outdoor seating, beautiful views of the marina - couldn’t have found a better location.
Inside is cosy and welcoming, enough modern rustic charm to make everyone feel at ease with the more upscale dishes.
I got the Banh Mi sandwich, probably the best I’ve had outside of Vietnam. If you like your BM sandwiches hot, I’d ask for extra jalapeños as it’s on the on the milder heat side.
My Hubble got the Tuna, so good (snuck a piece haha).
Three beers on tap, the IPA was good!
Only feedback I’d make to the restaurant directly.. the slate plates are so much fun.. really liked how easier it was to eat off that flat surface. While eating my fries, I did notice they kept falling off the plate surface and onto the table. If you had to reorder the plates in the future a few extra inches deep would probably help keep the food in place.
Overall, it's okay. The atmosphere feels a bit basic and without thought, like a 90's kindergarten classroom. The food was by far the best part of the restaurant. The tacos were tasty and presented well, though the random bowl of sliced carrots was an odd touch and felt like an afterthought. If I were already in the area, I'd go here again, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.
The location isn't the best, unless you're planning on visiting the Olympia waterfront. If you're just looking for a meal, parking isn't fun and you're guaranteed to walk a bit. There is outdoor seating with views of the marina, which is plus on nice days.
The worst part of the place is the service. We were rushed to our table before I made it all the way through the door, and asked about orders before I'd had a chance to read past the first dish on the menu. Keep in mind that 75% of the tables were empty, they were NOT busy. The topper was when the check was dropped off while my partner was still eating, and I mean only half way through their meal, not on the last bite. There was no conversation or question about desert or drinks to follow, just a booklet dropped on the table in front of me.
The service is what will turn me away from this place in the future. Warm attitudes and friendly demeanor go a long way in the service industry and they don't seem to grasp that.
Had the best experience! Firstly, the food was excellent!! I got a few recommendations from different sources....they recommended the fish tacos and the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. I took the sandwich and it was AMAZING! Secondly, the service was great!! So friendly and provided more recommendations. Lastly for me they created such a great vibe! I loved the music choice!
The appetizers were great and the staff excellent. However, I don't think the chef knows how to cook fish - both dishes overdone. The burgers come on slate boards which look cool but not much room for a messy burger. And too much cowslaw on the salmon burger. I will probably not return for some time. Many other restaurants.
Row is far-and-away our favorite place to take friends and family visiting from out of town! The price is a little higher per-person than some other spots around here, but the quality/cost ratio can’t be beat. We’ve sampled much of the menu, and there isn’t a bad item on it. Most put a seafood spin on American classics, and the salmon dishes (especially the mac and cheese) are standouts. The specialty cocktails are delicious, though we still haven’t tried their brunch drinks. If you're looking for a classic fish-and-steak dinner, this probably isn't the place, but they modern, metropolitan eats better than comparable places in Seattle or Bellevue. The atmosphere is fun, relaxing, and there’s a decent view of the marina from several tables. Situated in a quiet corner of historic Oly, it’s perfect for hosting, dates, or a casual brunch. A must-try for locals.
Cayla (with the sunflower apron) was our server for our last two visits, and we love her! Super friendly, speedy service, and she carries great rapport with her tables. It’s not often an employee enhances the dining experience, but she’s a delight and an asset to her team. Management really did something right when they hired her. We hope she’s in the next time we visit!
This place is easy to find, access, and exit. It is fully handicapped accessible. They have a comfortable indoor seating area and a roomy patio. On the patio traffic noise can be distracting, but was much less than we expected. We had no problem talking / hearing each other. There's no traffic exhaust issue. Table canopies are totally sufficient for most sunny days. The patio would probably be too hot if outdoor temperature exceeded 80-85. The staff is courteous and knowledgeable. The menu is actually small, but everything is prepared really well. As a fish & chips critic I highly recommend as the best I've had in WA in years. The beer menu is really lacking i.e. PBR, Rainier, Coors light +. They do however have four local craft brews on tap - kinda redeeming themselves. Their selection of spirits is also limited, but has quality and popular favorites. Restrooms... they're new and clean. It's definitely worth a try and we'll be back for more in the future. Great atmosphere, clean, good views! Draft selection wasn’t the best- no dark beers or stouts, fries were pretty hard- like rocks, the two sodas I got were flat. This was our first visit and probably our last but

We had a delicious dinner at Row. Loved the atmosphere. Servers were friendly and attentive.
