I really wish I had seen a sign saying EVERYTHING was gluten free before we bought pastries because it may be delicious in the world of gluten free, but buying cinnamon rolls at a relatively high price only to go out and find they are dry and crumble to pieces when you are trying to eat them was not a pleasant experience.

I'm so glad we stopped here for coffee before we left Concrete. It's such a cute, quirky, friendly place with an awesome staff and AMAZING coffee and treats! We'll for sure be back. :-)

It's not often that I give places 5 stars, but this place deserves it. It was perfect in all areas. Adorable atmosphere, perfect for the area. Very personal and kind service. Fair priced food. EVERYTHING is made in house and gluten free. I could tell they strive for the best with locally sourced food when they can. They have indoor/outdoor seating and you serve yourself your own water. They had an abundance of drink options and goodies. I'll definitely be back. 😊

I feel terrible writing this, but I found my to-go breakfast completely inedible, and I hope this review helps better the restaurant. I ordered a breakfast sandwich to-go and a piece of quiche to-go. The young man at the counter was nice and helpful enough.
Now, I've eaten plenty of gluten free items before as my partner does not eat gluten. I know that gluten free baked goods can be good. However, these were not. The bun for my sandwich tasted like a grainy hamburger bun and the quiche tasted as if it was made with powdered eggs. The taste and textures were just awful. I ate a bite of each and had to throw the rest away. I'm glad others seem to really enjoy this place - the reviews were very positive. I will not be going back, unfortunately.

An older woman who works here (I'm assuming the owner) was extremely rude to me. We came here to get some computer work done and ordered breakfast, coffee, pastries, and lunch while we worked. In total we spent over 50$ on food and tips in the span of a few hours.

I was rudely surprised by this woman's aggressive attitude in asking me to leave the cafe while I was waiting for a lunch order to be cooked.

I understand that the cafe's seating is at a limited capacity, but her attitude was uncalled for. The cafe was not even full when she approached me. Had she asked me to move outside to the completely empty patio I would have happily, instead she treated me like I spent no money and was leeching their internet. Was looking forward to bringing a cheesecake back to our campsite, instead I don't think I'll ever come here again which is a shame because the food is pretty good.

****Edit In reply to the owners response*****

As i orginally stated the cafe was never full in the first place. The owner doesn't know what i bought while i was there because she was in the back the entire time except to berrate customers. She had such little idea of what was bought she asked me to leave while I had a 20$ lunch order in.

As there was always an open table while i was there (even when we were asked to leave) the smoke is irrelevant, a more accurate description of what happened is simply that the owner is a grumpy woman. I've since read several reviews that state other people having the same experience

Berry hand pies with a delicate pie crust, pot pies, cookies, spinach ricotta corn cakes — all in a cute, clean, bakery with coloring, toys, and friendly staff.

Excellent bakery in the community of Concrete, WA. Lots of yummy baked goods along with other treats. Breakfast & lunch items too. We had a honey bun and fruit hand pie with drip coffees. Delicious! The drive to 5b's was beautiful too! Caution if riding a motorcycle: the parking lot is gravel. Difficult for a heavier motorcycle to manage parking.

Great selection of baked goods and high quality Americano. A very well run business. I can't give it 5 stars because I like strong, dark coffee and they didn't have that.

This is something special that I would drive 30 extra miles out of the way to visit and buy bread, cookies, french cakes, sandwiches and a meal at any time of the year. My personal favorite is the Coconut Macaroons that are almost the size of your fist. Sam with the Ginger and other cookies. Their bread is incredible and I could just eat it alone with nothing on it. It reminds me of my swedish grandmother's kitchen as a child except with real French flair and Gluten free for added bonus points. Love their soup and sandwich meals with a cookie!!!

Cute cafe with a warm atmosphere and vintage aesthetic elements. Makes a nice place to grab a coffee and some treats with friends. The staff are friendly and helpful as well, even catching us outside when my friend had left her laptop at the table. I also really enjoyed the lemon bar I had. It was the perfect amount of sweet and tart!
