On my way back from West Virginia I found this gem! Located near downtown Staunton, VA. It is right next to a small river and a walkway/bridge. Has fantastic “garage” set up with ton of space inside. Outside is beautiful as well with plenty of seating.
Coffee was solid and service was pretty good. Great spot to get some work done, bring a date or just chill and reflect.
I would most definitely stop here again!

I'm always on the lookout for good latte. I've found roasters usually have unique blends and hit the flavor profile I'm now accustomed to. The latte was rich and full of flavor versus usual commercial mass produced burnt and bland.
The location is amazing! Plenty of seating inside and outside. I stopped by here on my way south but am looking forward to coming back to the area.

The best coffee! I had strawberry blueberry brown sugar aroma with slow drip and it was so good! I didn’t buy a bag of coffee bean there so I want to order it on line.

We stopped at Crucible Coffee Roasters on the way to West Virginia and the coffee was so good that we stopped again on the way back! The vibe is pretty trendy and the coffee selection is much more craft than your typical sugar-filled-coffee-ish coffee shop. Our group loved their seasonal drink called "Barbara" that included citrus and warm spices. The only reason this place doesn't get a full 5 stars is because of the service. The coffees were made relatively quickly and well, but the staff was rude on our first visit and cold and uninviting on our second stop. Definitely a good stop for great coffee, but not necessarily a place to stop if you want a more "Cheers" feeling.

This coffee shop hit the flavor profile I’m used to right on the money. Good coffee but even better customer service. Just genuine and friendly staff. I found this spot during my stay in Staunton and it didn’t disappoint. Don’t forget to try a morning bun. Delicious

Crucible is a great local spot to stop and get a cup of coffee whether you're in Staunton to take in a little Shakespeare, or just passing by on your way to the mountains.
I have been here several times and have always had a great experience.

Nice atmosphere, but the drinks I got were not good at all. The matcha latte didn't taste anything like matcha and was essentially just watered-down milk that was colored green. I also got the Peaberry drink, which was listed as black tea with orange and peach. I didn't taste it until after I left and realized that they gave me unflavored black coffee. Not at all what I was expecting. Seems like a good place to hang out and do work or read, but I would not recommend getting the drinks I did. I had pretty high hopes for this place, and might go back again to try the actual coffee, but unfortunately this trip was a waste of $11 😕
(Second picture taken at a Dunkin' to get a drink that actually tasted like matcha)

Coffee was good. Got the mocha and some Merch as well. You can choose between a 12oz or the big boy 16oz. Got the latter, Spacious and Beautiful shop.

I have visited this location only once, but I subscribe to their coffee service by mail and thus drink Crucible very regularly. They are one of the better (if not the best) roasters in the valley, consistently producing excellent results. I prefer lighter roasted, single origin coffees, and I've never been disappointed with the 15 or 20 I've had from Crucible over the years.
The actual coffee shop is hip and roomy, with good outdoor seating for when the weather is nice. I was surprised how quick service was as well on a very busy Sunday morning. I am probably jaded by northern Virginia prices but the total of my bill was also far less than I was anticipating, which leads me to say they are very reasonably priced. I typically rate a coffee shop on how well they can make a simple latte, and this one was faultless. If we lived nearer to Staunton, I would be here all the time... As it is, I have to settle for the coffee by mail 🙂.

My favorite local place to get coffee. The staff are helpful, friendly, and on top of their game. The coffee is delicious. Menu changes often but if they have the ability to go off-menu for specialty coffees, they happily will. I've always been glad I've gone here. :)
