One of the best cafes in Richmond VA. Ambience, coffee and sandwiches are awesome. Must visit when you are in the Richmond area.

Stopped by on our way to Florida and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of coffee, cozy atmosphere and nice service. A great stop if you are passing Richmond to submerge into authentic experience and enjoy 15 minutes away from reality!

It’s such a cozy coffee shop with a nice vibe! It gets very busy so be prepared to wait for drinks and food during busy times. I got a veggie bagel and cold brew with macadamia milk and they were delicious!

Really good cold brew and a unique vibe. Perfect to hang and get work done. Food was delicious

$8 🥯 more like $3. Skip the sandwich, go for the coffee.

I had a oat milk iced latte and my husband had a lavender iced latte. Mine was completely tasteless but my husbands drink was actually good.

I had a coworker recommend this coffee shop to me. So, I decided to go today and see what the hype was all about. First, as I walked in, I was greeted with stares and that awkward smile that non-POC like to do when they see a POC. So. I immediately felt weird being here but proceeded inside to be greeted with more stares. As I looked around the establishment, admiring the interior design, I realized I was the only POC in this establishment, which concluded why I was receiving stares from other patrons,which doesn't excuse the looks I received that made me feel uncomfortable. Still I proceeded to the counter and was greeted by a friendly batista. I order a white mocha ice latte with oat milk that cost slightly over $9, including the tip. Even though the drink was a but pricey, it was delicious. Since this was my first visit, I can't say I wouldn't recommend this place to others. Since, the staff was friendly and professional. It was the patrons that made the place feel unwelcoming.

I’ve been to quite a few coffee shops around RVA, but the service and quality of ironclad keeps me coming back. Spent a rainy day doing work from inside. Recommend if in the area. Street parking never a problem.

Stopped in here for a latte to go on our way out of town and wished we’d had time to sit and linger in the cozy and inviting space. Just finished my latte and I think it was the best I’ve had in years. Next time I’m back in the neighborhood, I’ll be sure to stop in again.

Arrived there and wanted to have two sandwiches and coffee. After a long wait and no visible seating spots, they informed us they were out of sandwiches. That ruined my plans since I was in a rush to have breakfast and beat the traffic. No breakfast for me I guess.

Anyways, the other beverages they prepare seem complex and elaborate, however they are not able to cover the basic necessities such as an Americano (which was just meh) and two Splendas. They didn't have Splenda, and not even regular sugar.

I would have left a higher review but upon reading responses from the owner which complements the overall experience, I decided to also rate his customer service. We are a community sharing experiences and facts about businesses so that you know what to expect beforehand.

If you want me to leave constructive criticism, just be consistent having sandwiches and Splenda. Also this is clearly not a family owned business since in other comments you state that you employ baristas and new hires, not your sister/brother. Don't lie if you don't like being called a liar.
