Great coffee but overpriced and only small cups, only two choices of milk, whole milk and macadamia - who drinks whole milk these days! Service is unnecessary slow and frustrating. This is my second time. My usual coffee is Riverbend cafe which is excellent but I thought I would try Ironclad once more but that’s it, back to Riverbend on East Broad.

Terrible muffins though lol, sorry.. super dry. And no wifi… one of the employees told me they turn them off on the weekends.

Overall, great place to come with friends and chat.

Whenever I'm on this part of town in between appointments, or need a quick place to set up my laptop, this is my go-to. I also prefer their whole bean options to grind at home over any other in RVA. They do a great job here.

I say do not waste your time. “Great” biscuit sandwiches are premade! Take it the way they made it period. Muffin etc selection is lame. All they have is the firehouse which is interesting

Amazing atmosphere - I went in on a sunny Friday afternoon and with the garage door open, the breeze coming in, the music rolling and the enthusiasm of the staff, I felt right at home. I had the veggie bagel sandwich (absolutely killer hummus) and an oat cappuccino. The coffee is flavorful — not burnt or acidic. Can easily spend hours here working or relaxing. Makes me wish I lived closer!

I loved my experience here, and can't wait for the next time I'm in Richmond so I can go back! The atmosphere is so nice, the service was great, and the food and coffee was fantastic! There is plenty of seating, either at the bar, downstairs, or in the upstairs section.

SUPERB! I stopped in for a cappuccino this weekend and fell in love with this place! Hip vibes, delicious coffee, friendly & attentive staff, what more could one want?! Oh, that's right, a super high tech cold brew station that looks like it came straight from the chem lab! If you truly love coffee then you will check this place out!

The coffee and croissants are absolutely amazing!!! I would eat here every day if I could! Everything is made in-house, even the syrups!

creative flavors, Extremely sweet baristas, calming environment. They have oat, macadamia, and pistachio milk!! So exciting. Vegan quiche as well (: all of the speciality drinks come with a cookie !!
