Ploughcroft Tea Room

The tea is so yummy! I recommend going between 2-4 for tea time! The sandwiches and pastries are great! The atmosphere is so quaint and feminine!

Only place to get lapsang souchon and Elizabethan tea. Pat is one of my favorite people, and the servers are all lovely (but especially Beverley). Make sure to get an appointment on the weekends or you will certainly be without a table.

Overpriced, uncomfortable, awkward service. There was a large array of tables, we were placed at the smallest one that wobbled. Anytime we moved everything on the table would fall all over the place. The prices were honestly ridiculous. Maybe if we go again it'd be a better experience.

The Ploughcroft is where Austen, Dickens, and Chesterton would socialize if we brought them all to Virginia. The speciality is here is afternoon tea with fine china, scones, and other traditional British fare. Prepare to sip, relax, and converse at length - preferably about something British.

Wonderful food. Friendly and helpful. Would definitely go again. Reservations highly recommended however they fit us in without and the experience was excellent.

Great food! The selection of teas is sparse, but they made up for it with great scones & sticky toffee pudding.

We lived in Oxford for three years, and when we get a little homesick for a proper tea, or our spirits need a lift this where we go.

Very sweet establishment! The owner and hostess was very attentive...I had the extreme pleasure of attending a birthday party/High Tea here last Sunday..the Tea and finger food was YUMMY!
