Compass Coffee

Compass coffee is my favorite coffee spot in all of the DC/VA area. The quality of their product is unmatched. The service of the baristas is always kind and speedy. Chandler, Andrew, McKenzie
& Ally display suburb customer service and cafe art skills consistently. Thankful to have a Compass Coffee so close to both my home and workplace. Hoping they expand to Loudoun County soon. Peace. Love. Coffee.

This place have the best coffee ☕ and for sure best cappuccino They sell different coffee blends so you can pick according to your taste You can ask advise of the employees they are super helpful They also have fresh bakery and healthy snacks

I was very impressed with the service. I went when they were offering free drinks to everyone to celebrate opening, and despite long lines and lots of people, they were fast and personable. The layout of the shop is nice.

The coffee was good, but not great. I ordered a decaf latte which had a biting, stale flavor. This comes from having beans that are roasted too dark and are old. This isn’t the barista’s fault. The technical ability of the workers behind the counter was good, especially considering the madness.

I would go again if I was in the area and looking for a quick cup, but it’s not excellent coffee, just good enough.

Compass Coffee is our new favorite go-to place for coffee: It puts Starbucks in the shade. Way in the shade. We have been ordering the decaf cortado--half expresso and half hot milk. It does not lack flavor, for those who claim that decaf doesn't deliver in that category. The brownies have a deep chocolate, haunting flavor. Seating is ample, and although they are usually full, we always manage to find a place to sit. The staff are very friendly and seem to really like working there. There is neither a tip jar nor a plea for tips on the payment screen. On the contrary: There is a reward system and with my phone number in their system, I have enjoyed free coffee and a free brownie within just a couple of visits.

We love Compass Coffee and our kids love the hot chocolate. Very happy that a location opened close to us with a drive thru. Great customer service.

I am not a coffee drinker, but I frequent Compass Coffee because they have one of the best Matcha Tea lattes in the DMV. They are light and frothy - I prefer mine unsweetened or with half the regular amount of added vanilla.

This is my favorite coffee shop around- everyone is so nice and the coffee is stellar. Absolutely a staple for living in the DMV. I just wish they had more locations!

One of my favorite local coffee shops in DC! The vanilla cream cold brew is one of the best iced coffee drinks I've ever had. Not too sweet - just the perfect balance of coffee, flavor and cream. The espresso is great too - for when a hot drink is in order. I also love the atmosphere of the shops. Always lots of good energy - not too loud - great to work at when I don't have a lot of meetings. Just all-around a great experience!

TLDR: save ur money, go to starbucks, same quality

It's a dressed up starbucks. They sell things like a chemex and aeropress to suggest they are like a specialty coffee store. I ordered a cortado. Should be 1:1 ratio of espresso and milk. I was handed something the size of a flat white. I was unable to figure out what the milk:coffee ratio was because the blend they used is pretty darkly roasted. It's not a horrible place, but if you really like coffee, go somewhere else. If you go to starbucks anyway, then this will work for you at a higher cost.

Coffee gets 0 stars - over-roasted and over-brewed. Was like a burnt syrup of bitters similar to Starbucks black coffee.

Ambiance is okay and can sit to get work done, hence 2 stars. I haven’t found good coffee in the area yet unfortunately!
