Super cute little cafe! The menu is simple, yet definitely delicious. I had a lavender latte. There are bag hangers under the table, as well as places to charge your phone.
Bright interior, quick staff, with an easygoing and modern vibe.
Lots of seating variety here, feel free to come alone or with a party!
You can buy coffee to take home, and merchandise as well.

Conveniently placed and beautifully decorated, this coffee shop used to be a favorite of mine.
It's got a fun changing menu. For example they had fun cherry blossom inspired drinks for March, and now for June they have hibiscus teas and minty refreshing mochas. Their baked goods are baked locally but unfortunately they cannot heat them up for you behind the counter if you're someone who needs their croissants and muffins warm.
The drinks, atmosphere, food were delightful and welcoming. But by far the best part of compass coffee: The Baristas!

Unfortunately recently they haven't been as impressive. Not sure what inspired the change but many beloved baristas no longer operate this location and the newer staff, though qualified, are not as friendly. Additionally, prices have changed. I ordered a small latte and was charged $7 for it compared to my usual $5. It's possible they mischarged me as the staff is newer but when I asked the barista to ring it up again, it was still $7.

Overall, I would say their coffee is still good despite the lack of love in it, but not worth the possible increased price. The feeling inside is a bit colder than before the staff change, so maybe a place to work from home, but not to meet up with a friend.
I would give it one star now but I'm giving it two for the good times we used to have.

EDIT: I have given compass another shot, and am changing my 2/5 to a 4/5. Today they had a man with a black shirt and afro on the bar (didn't catch his name but he was working around 2pm today), and this man can really make a drink. Both me and my friend were shocked with how well our drinks were made. Unfortunately there was quite a bit of foam in hers, making the quantity of the drink lesser than the full cup (about 1/4 missing) but the quality more than made up for that.
Also as a side note the girl who always wears braids with red hair is really friendly and adds great vibes to the establishment.

I’ve tried out Compass another three times since my initial review and I have to say the coffees are over priced and mediocre. I liked the mocha on my first try. But since returning for the chai, coconut latte, and pumpkin cold brew I think I am done coming here for coffee. The chai had heavy hint of clove, was horribly sweet, and mostly tasted like milk. The pumpkin cold brew might be the worst coffee I’ve ever had. Imagine a chemical/candle/artificial pumpkin flavor in your coffee. I was far down the street before I took my first drink, and I had to throw it away and go somewhere else for coffee. The coconut latte again had a weird chemical taste similar to how sun tan lotion smells. I would stick to your usual coffee orders here (mocha, ice latte etc) and avoid the unique flavors.

Initial review: 4/5

The atmosphere of the coffee shop is very modern, with wooden seating, and product displayed floor to ceiling. The shop offers seasonal flavors lavender honey, vanilla cream cold brew, mint cold brew, and cherry blossom cream. They also offer unique flavors like Nutella mocha and almond butter. Additionally they have take home containers, if you want to get your compass coffee nitro cold brew kick from home. Their pastries look delicious, the large croissants caught my eye. I ordered the medium iced mocha which was delicious and not too sweet. My only complaint was the price of $6.50 for a medium coffee is a little high in my opinion, especially considering Starbucks is cheaper. But, you're paying for location and atmosphere so I can see this being an every once and a while coffee shop but wouldn't come here for my daily fix. Overall would recommend. Just be aware it is a little busy on weekend mornings but the line moves quickly and staff are personable!

In from out of town, was staying across the street, I needed some coffee and this place looked perfect. I Had an outstanding experience ordering twice in the same day. Great food, great cold brew, and espresso. Even enjoyed a nice ham and cheese croissant. The staff was super friendly and after a very stressful and busy weekend, my Monday morning started off on a fantastic note. Bought a tin to take some home too. Thanks, team.

Mint cold brew changed my life. This place is crazy good just skip their baked goods, my bb muffin was really dry and my gfs croissant was cold and hard.

Stick to the coffee and your golden.

Another wonderful Compass Coffee, but this time out in Virginia! The staff were incredibly nice, and even remade my drink because I had requested Oat Milk, and it did not have it. I'm only docking this place because the Tumeric Honey Latte was not very good. I heard it was good for inflammation, so I wanted to try it, but it really gave me chicken maruchan ramen vibes. Next time I'll stick to my normal americano/drip coffee.

I realize that cappuccino in Italy is served almost lukewarm which is not that much liked in the US but serving it boiling hot loses all the taste - it took literally 15 minutes for it to cool down

I like the service, ambience, coffee, and croissant here. It is my go place in the morning. It is so relaxing and lively at the same time. The person who takes the order also has good knowledge about their coffee and explains their coffee choices so well. Two thumbs on that. They are also dog friendly.

Nice, modern coffee shop with indoor and outdoor seating. They make a good cappuccino! A bit pricey, but good overall. I suggest trying their cappuccino, as well as their blueberry muffin! They have good lattes as well. Heck, everything I tried here was good!

The cherry blossom iced latte and Nutella mocha iced latte were delicious. Not too sweet. And service was very friendly
