Lovely coffee house/cafe in wonderful Burlington location. Lattes, breakfast sandwiches and delightful sandwiches to choose from. Expanded seating inside and out with fast service and a happy local and tourist crowd. Always a pleasure.

Still drooling over these maple covered biscuits at August First, in Burlington city ( Vermont) served with their house made Raspberry jam.

The maple biscuit is why you should head over there running. Absolutely delicious.

This is a nice spot for breakfast! Lots of baked goods and some healthy breakfast options. Polenta with eggs and salmon was great and so was the Hungarian roll. Also try their chaider (cider mixed with chai) - it’s delicious. Overall, we enjoyed our experience here and would definitely recommend!

Love August First! Reliable and perfect for pastries, lunch, and brunch... every time. LOVE IT!

Drip coffee is really good. They accidently made two, gave me the second for free. Service was also great.

I left feeling my boundaries pushed, hurt, angry, upset, and embarrassed after my conversation with the person making drinks. I do not feel like their demeanor reflected that I was a guest/customer at a restaurant. It was totally aggressive and unkind in my opinion. It feels like so sad and frustrating that I paid $17.00 for one person breakfast and left feeling this way. I don't think I will be back. I do feel open to talking to representation from there that is KIND.

I would say give it a try. Food quality and ambiance are excellent. Very crowded at Sunday brunch time but they do a pretty good job of keeping everyone happy. Not super cheap but I thought OK for the quality of the food.

Only got some coffee. It's a nice spot and if you find a cozy corner it's pretty hard to leave!

Came here on Sunday afternoon around 1pm - I hadn't eaten all day and I was cranky and starving. This place was a pleasant suprise. I expected a long wait for my food given that the line to order was out the door. My husband and I waited maybe 10-15 mins in line to order, but once we placed our order we got our food in under 5 minutes! This place really has their act together. They were more than happy to make substitutions. Cool atmosphere (albeit crowded) and great location close to the water. The sandwiches were creative and tasty (we both got the Vermonter). Definitely recommend this place and will come back here next time I'm in Burlington!
