My wife and I got sesame chicken bowls, which sounded great on the menu. Unfortunately every ingredient in the bowl was dry, tasteless, and cold. There was also no sesame in them, we just got a mediocre balsamic vinaigrette.
The coffee and scone were good, otherwise it would have been a one star experience.

Food was great! We ordered the breakfast sandwich on a biscuit and the sausage skillet. Biscuit is very dense so be prepared for a heavy meal!

Good brunch menu with tastybreakfast sandwiches. The lunch sandwiches looked great too but we came too early to try them.
We went there during the week and it was pretty calm and relaxed. Nice simple decor, sunny place.
We also tried their bread and were disappointed, too dry.

Get the Maple Biscuit! Love that it is a screen free environment. Great coffee, bread, and sandwiches. A happy discovery on our visit!

Excellent fresh baked goods. Delightful local bakery. Don't leave until you purchase maple biscuit!

Came for the food. Stayed for the vibes. Delicious, healthy ingredients prepared on the premises for fun and inspired dishes. Nearly everything can be made vegan! The huge open space is warm, bright, and inviting. No laptops allowed!

Came to work for the morning while in town and found no laptops were allowed. Little shocking but I guess they don’t want people camping out all day. It was steadily busy all morning.
Friendly staff, bakery goods we took home were good. Good iced coffee, and good breakfast sandwiches too.

Good cafe experience, espresso tea ect. The sandwiches are griddled for eat in and take out. I had the ham and brie. 8/10 would eat again!

Love their food! Try the bacon egg and cheese on a maple biscuit 🤤
And the atmosphere is great (minus the excessive security cameras in use, feels like the federal reserve). Also they don’t allow laptop use which deters the student community.

For some reason, my wife and I haven't visited August First in a number of years. Whatever the case, we stopped in to try some breakfast sandwiches this weekend. The place was busy, but the server was friendly and took the time to answer all of our questions. While waiting for our food and watching everyone work, it was obvious that the people working there had a collective great attitude. The sandwiches were a little pricey, but the quality was there and everything was extremely delicious.
