Mestizo Coffee House

Easily my favorite Salt Lake City coffee shop. Best place for me to relax, research and write. The food here is surprisingly great too! The Breakfast sandwiches are top-notch!!

Traveling to salt lake. Staying across from this coffee shop. Two girls did coffee, drinks, and food. They killed it. Everyone was happy and the products were great. Highly recommend

Great food & coffee with an awesome vibe. The employees & owner are very kind and welcoming.

I use to love comming to this place. Covenivently located/acceptable atomospehere/ modest pricing....however that’s where it stops. The owner of the store is either the biggest prick or really insecure. Never been in a store where the owner throws his customers out for penny picking. Watch first hand him throw out a customer because he only order a coffee and says he needs to leave because he has not spent enough to justify him staying in his “establishment”. Plenty of other places that offer more and treat customers less like $$. Places like these need to shut down. Amen.

Great atmosphere to kick it.

Pros: Great coffee- enough flavor so you know what's in in, but not overpoweringly sweet (I got an iced Blizzard)- lots of tea, food, smoothies, and baked goods. Surprisingly fast service as well.

Cons: Slightly expensive- but you get what you pay for.

I will never support this establishment. The owner is one of the rudest and most disrespectful people I have ever encountered. He spends his time spying on and degrading people who park in the "shared" parking lot (the lot is shared between three business and Citifront apartment complex). He tries to intimidate them by taking pictures of their license plates if he thinks that their reason for parking there isn't "authorized" in his judgement. I have witnessed him argue with people on multiple occasions and can't stand the negativity he brings to the area on a daily basis.

Cute little coffee shop! Coffee is good, love the variety on their menu, lots of cool art and gallery, friendly staff and nice chill spot. Always plenty of room to sit and not overly crowded.

Mestizo is about so much more than just coffee. The coffee is great, but what makes Mestizo my favorite place in the valley to get a cup is the mission and passion behind what they do. They are bringing the arts and culture of the west side into an organized space where all can enjoy. They have been struggling with the construction over the past couple of years, so make your way down there for an amazing cup of coffee for a great cause!

My wife and came to salt lake City staying at the Hyatt hotel we were meeting my brother who lives in the apartments that mestizo is located my wife stepped into the little store also located there I sat down to wait for the party. Within seconds a rude employee come out and berated threatening to call the police get out he said I was not aloud to wait for the rest of my party this has to be the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They indeed need work on their customer relations.
