Corner Bakery Cafe

Had lunch there today. Meh. No hurry to go back. I had the prime rib sandwich. Meat was a bit dry, I think there was mushrooms in there, was hard to tell. Wasn't bad, I ate the whole thing, but wasn't very good. The caesar side salad was better, but still, it was drenched in dressing. I do like the real plates and metal utensils. That's a bonus, but it would be nicer to use a metal fork if it was actually putting great food in my mouth. And today it was not.

Thanks for the response from management. I don't think corner bakery is an anomaly on the east side of town. A lot of the food up here is mediocre. I have eaten at corner bakery a few times over the years, it is a convenient location. But the experience has been similar. Another similar experience happened over the years at the former porcupine on 1300e. Great location, nice space. Mediocre food. Hopefully the new place there is an improvement. I'm skeptical. End rant on the affordable NE food landscape.

I work nearby, so I'm usually there during the lunch hour rush. The service is always quick and I've always gotten exactly what I ordered. You can easily get here, order, and eat in less than an hour - even when it's busy. Parking can be difficult sometimes. Outdoor patio is great in the summer! Love that they let you bring your own reusable drink cup to fill your drink (they'll charge you for a small/reg drink).

The food was very tasty and perfectly prepared. We ordered online and picked up. The odd part was when we pulled in and called the number listed on their pick up sign...the receiver of the call was not friendly and a bit rude. They were upset they had to do a curbside pick up. The food was definitely 4 stars though.

The employees are courteous and helpful. Good coffee.

Great customer service! I ordered a meal to eat there but knew I wouldn’t finish it, so I asked if they would do a half order or pack up the other half to-go. The cashier was beyond helpful and said she would take care of me! She made it happen. Shortly after, another friendly employee delivered my food and we engaged in a short, sweet conversation. So much more than I expected!

Very good food. Very creative sandwich

They make a killer BLT. Heavy on the bacon and with good lettuce. I prefer it on wheat with regular mayo rather than the aoili they usually put on it.
My old favorite was the egg salad but they don't have it anymore.
The chicken soup is pretty good.
Nice place for lunch with friends or alone with a book.
The people have always been nice too.

I placed a curbside pickup order through my Google maps app. It said it would be ready in 10-15 minutes. I pulled up to the curbside pickup parking spot at the designated time and called the number on the sign. The phone rang and rang and no one ever picked up. Frustrated, I eventually walked in and asked a server what was going on with the curbside pickup. She said that the curbside pickup orders are placed with the online orders. I walked with her and she found my order and said “your order is marked as delivery”. I showed her my email confirmation which clearly stated CURBSIDE PICKUP. She smiled and said “don’t know what to tell you, we are super busy!” Additionally, the takeout portion was way less than the portion you get when you dine in. I ordered the entree portion and what I got was ridiculous. Never doing an online order here again.

Just had an incredibly disappointing experience and the people at the counter couldn't understand why. Ordered with a friend and verified it but after waiting for the food, my order wasn't on it. Lady that originally took order wouldn't even make eye contact. Didn't have time to wait again so instead of the nice lunch I ordered, I had a bagel and disappointment. Even a simple "I'm sorry for that" would have helped in the moment.
