Review of Corner Bakery Cafe

Corner Bakery Cafe: A Casual Cafe Chain with Standard Menu

Corner Bakery Cafe is a casual cafe chain that offers a standard menu of sandwiches, pasta, pastries, and more. Located at 6721 W 135th St, Overland Park, KS, this cafe is a popular spot for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. The cafe is open seven days a week, with different hours of operation each day. On weekdays, the cafe opens at 7:00 am and closes at 8:00 pm, while on weekends, it opens at 8:00 am and closes at 8:00 pm.

The cafe has a cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. The menu is extensive, and there are plenty of options for everyone, including vegetarians and those with dietary restrictions. The cafe offers a pick-two option, which allows customers to choose two items from a selection of soups, salads, and sandwiches. The meatball panini is a popular choice among customers, and the harvest salad and chicken Rosa pasta are also highly recommended.

The cafe also offers bakery items, including croissants, bundt cakes, and lemon bars. While some customers find the bakery items to be less tasty than expected, others enjoy them. The cafe's coffee is not the best, according to some customers, and needs to be stronger.

Overall, Corner Bakery Cafe is a decent spot for a quick and casual meal. The prices are a bit on the expensive side for a bakery-style place, according to some customers, but the food is generally good, and the service is friendly.

First time coming here. Gorgeous atmosphere. Quiet, clean, well lit. Everyone here is quick and kind. Service is fantastic. Food is exceptional! I got the harvest salad and chicken Rosa pasta. Both beyond delicious. 10/10 recommend. Will definitely be coming back!

For 4 people
4- drinks
2 - chicken noodle soup (practically water)
1 - Mac and cheese ( no bread crumbs)
1 - ham and Swiss ( no mustard)
2 - cookies
1 - bunt cake

54 dollars and change.

The picture is after the glob of mustard was wiped off. Tried to just deal with it and move on. When mustard overpowered everything else it becomes inedible.

Went back and said it was not suppose to have mustard. The lady upfront said she had to check with the kitchen if they would remake it. Another sandwich came out with more mustard.

Kitchen was overheard talking about the sandwich being wrong and it has mustard on it before sending the sandwich again with more mustard. Needless to say the sandwich was left and never corrected.

Needless to say if a kitchen is complaining about having to make the food agin and won’t make the sandwich without mustard - prob not a good thing.

Be warned

The restaurant was bigger on the inside than I anticipated. Fairly cozy spot for lunch. The meatball panini was fantastic and has genuinely made me consider picking up a panini press – though I suspect it'd probably just be easier and better to come back here.

Wow! Last night, our show choir (40 high school kids plus 5 adults) stopped for dinner and the staff knocked it out of the park! Not only did they get us through the line fast, but the food came out in no time. AND the food was awesome! I highly recommend this Corner Bakery Cafe the next time you're in OP!

UPDATED: Pictures added from the amazing 135th street location... where the food & service is great! The too "crispy" breakfast sandwich (was from ROE location), but I ate it anyways...as it was "to go". I've gone to the 135th location several more times b/c everything I've ordered was yummy, & the staff is responsive. Also, I returned b/c: the coffee was good, the place was clean & socially distanced. It's one of the few places I have dined ...in the past year. 135th st. has an awesome outdoor sitting area too. I am addicted to this sandwich & location.😍

Corner Bakery is my wife and I’s favorite place to get breakfast or brunch. We love coming here because they are always fast and reliable, plus the food is great at any time of day. Definitely give this place a try!

Great Corner Place! Food is great! Portion sizes are proportional to the price!
Most of the items were fresh, however the Lemon Bar was hard and I suspect not very fresh!
Would still come in for the Pasta & Sandwiches. They also had hibiscuses lemonade which was refreshing!

Enjoyed the gentleman taking our order. Was very helpful and knowledgeable. We were newbies. Food was good. Coffee smelled great but was too late in the day to try, maybe next time.

Panini was good. Expected bakery items to be more tasty but ended up being not that good. Both croissant and bundt cakes were let down. Little bit on the expensive side for a bakery style place.

I had the Commuter sandwich for a late lunch this week. The cook did an outstanding job, it was perfect in every way, right down to the crispy bacon I asked for. Bravo!

Now, if we could just get a Corner Bakery in the Northland.

I just returned for the same and the sandwich I reviewed above is no longer as wonderful. Smaller, soggy on the bottom and I found a hair and an eyelash on the plate.
