Corner Bakery Cafe

I’ve come here a handful of times, and without fail, it has been pretty average. Nothing special about it. Just food.

The most recent visit, however, was a disaster. It took about 10 minutes just to order (I was only 3rd in line, so 2 orders ahead of me). After ordering, it took about 20 minutes for my to-go order to be completed.

Upon arriving home and sitting down to eat, I was very displeased to see my turkey Cobb salad was topped with slices of sandwich-cut DELI MEAT. (photo attached)

Who in their right mind puts sandwich meat on a salad?

With their prices going up, I doubt I’ll return. It used to be a pretty good bang for your buck, so it was easy to ignore the long wait times and mediocre food.

Now, it’s just overpriced mediocrity coupled with poor service.

The food was great. The staff was very accommodating and kind. The place was very clean with a nice warm inviting vibe. The only thing is the portions are much smaller these days. Obviously an economy thing. But, I hope once things bounce back the portions will go back to what they used to be.

First of all no tables were clean to seat, we literally had to search for a clean one.
Second I got the Tomato basil soup that felt like a I was having tomato sauce warmed up, the girl that worked there switched it up for another one.
And last the prices are crazy we got a panini, soup and chicken carbonara (with no flavor at all) for $42 bucks 😢 the worse thing is that if this was good I would not complain but we left most of the food cuz it was horrible.

Thought I’d give these guys a second try but I gotta say I’m disappointed. I got the chicken pomodori and this is what I got. Two pieces of chicken and some small pieces of spinach with cheese. Their soup was pretty good, but for $12 you won’t get satisfaction. Serving size is smaller than what you can get a cafe Zuppas for less. I will never come to corner bakery again. Three stars for the soup.

Note: I know the picture on the right is two sandwiches and not one double stack. Just look at how decently stuffed they market them but the actual sandwich is nothing close.

Our food was great and the manager was very friendly! My husband got the banana foster pancakes and I got the aneheim panini! Would recommend!

Great comfort food. The cream cheese brownies are so good. My only complaint is that the salad was soggy and brown.

Went here on a whim. The service was so slow. If you want an order, call ahead. Send like the orders called in took priority over customers standing in front of them. Yes, the food is made fresh so a wait is expected but 35 minutes for 2 half n half.. to go. That's a bit long. The sandwich tasted good and my salad was very flavourful. I would eat here again, but would call ahead.

Pleasant atmosphere. Good place to meet with family or friends. Whole salads and whole sandwiches are big enough to share. Sign on the front window said Closed. This wasn't changed when pointed out to the man who seemed in charge. Not everything on the menu was in stock. Staff could have been friendlier -- maybe a human having a bad day. Soup was warm but not hot like one wants in soup on a winter's day. I'll wait until stocking and staffing issues are worked out before I return.

Really yummy food with fresh ingredients. Versatile menu, comfortable seating, clean and inviting atmosphere. Large portions, we could have easily shared an entree!

Great quality food and a very quiet peaceful atmosphere. First time here and will be coming again. A great, healthier feeling good for a break from everything else available.
Also tons of variety.
