Quaint hometown Cafe with delicious food and intriguing history. Hidden rooms and compartments, expansive and tasty menu, delightful staff, the Al Capone room...and so much more!
My companions had everything from the French dip to French toast with hearty bacon to a chef salad. I wasn't as hungry, so I went with just a side salad and a cup of Wisconsin Cheddar Ale soup with flavor that I am glad I did not miss.
I plan on coming back and trying their blackened steak and more!

Stopped here on the way to the hot springs and I cannot wait to go back. Cozy, old-time feel in an adorable historic area.

Try one of their eggs Benedict. They have quite a few to choose from and they are delicious! The owners are very sweet and friendly and it's great customer service. It may not be posh and modern, but I LOVE a classic place with great food run by genuinely nice people.

Prices are very affordable & everything we tried was delicious.

Another great independent restaurant. We don't eat at chains!

The owner warned us that service would be slow as the kitchen caught up with orders. And, that was a good thing. We love hearing the history of old buildings and we were certainly not disappointed! The delayed service provided him time to share some really intriguing tales.

Very entertaining and the food was on point.

Not in a rush and want to enjoy a home cooked meal, then look no further. Be prepared to be welcomed by some of the friendliest staff. I highly recommend the potatoes and hash.
If you want coffee that's not Folger's walk across the street to Grounds for Coffee.

They're closed on Mondays and Tuesdays

Really nice little local bar/restaurant. Service was a little bit slow getting seated but once we were seated it was very nice. Cool tidbit fact, Al Capone used to frequent here. Food was okay served hot and the price was very reasonable, especially the drinks. I tried the muffaletta sandwich, which was good but not truly a muffalatta sandwich from a New Orleans standpoint.

We had some delicious and unique food here like the house made chips with mornay sauce and blue cheese crumbles and the Scottish Eggs. We also tried the crab cakes that had large hunks of crab and were very tasty. Our service was excellent! We would go back again if passing through on our travels.

So good! Super friendly service! Potatoes were out of this world! The poached eggs were overdone but the dish was good.

me and my dear friend where so excited to try this place because of the cute atmosphere but we both agree this is the WORST restaurant experience we have ever had. the servers asked if we wanted a table or booth. we said we didn’t care, both working at a restaurant ourselves and not wanting to be difficult. the waitress proceeded to sit us next to this older gentleman who obviously wanted to be alone when the entire restaurant was empty and then this older gentleman proceeded to stare at us the entire time as well as the waitresses giving us dirty looks since the second we walked in. the first meal i ordered they where out of. the second meal i ordered came out and had the hardest bread on my sandwich and as well as my friends and had no flavor. i then found a hair in my sandwich melted into the cheese so i know it was not mine. i then told my waitress and she glared at me and then said “oh. ok?” and then took my food out from in front of me and stormed into the back and never got an apology or her offering to remake it . she finally came back with our check and took a whopping $2 off our $20 check which she just assumed it was together and didn’t even ask . food was bad. service was bad. everything was bad we will not be back until they can keep their servers in check.

I was so excited to come here because of all the vegan options! It took over an hour to get our food even though we were the first people in the place and the table next to ours got their food over a half hour before us even though they ordered ten minutes after us.
My vegan sausage was microwaved to death and was too hard to eat. The vegan omlet was overcooked and hard to eat but cold inside.
If I could give zero stars I would.
I am heart broken because it was such a great location and menu but the service was the slowest I've ever had AMF the food was horrible. I'm heart broken.

Service was very slow. Toke someone 15 minutes to come greet and get water's. Other than that the food was good. Got the eggs Benedict and the potatoes that come with it are amazing. I'm still dreaming about those. 4 because of service but the food was spot on.
