Imagine walking back into the 1920s. The building is historic but the food is an experience. The owner Penny is a fabulous cook and serves many unique items. Ravioli in a portobello mushroom sauce is my wife's favorite.

Extremely slow. The rest of my party was done eating by the time I got my food and the sausage was still uncooked. Service was good, they comped my meal. I've eaten here many times and it really is hit or miss. The food is good, especially the scotch eggs.

Everything was yummy, but the shrimp skewers were the best shrimp I have ever eaten!!! They were so fresh and not rubbery. We had the blue chips with them-also yummy with homemade chips and Mornay sauce with blue cheese. The first tine I ate here, I had a steak with mushrooms that was also so good!

Food is good. But service could use some work. We stopped going a few years ago because the service was terrible. We decided to give it another go today and it's still the same. They seated us in a reserved spot and proceeded to tell us we only had an hour before we would have needed to move for the reservation. Instead of just seating us in the next table over to avoid being rushed to finish our meal. Drinks had to be asked for multiple times and when our check was split in 3, they only charged one card for all the orders. Basic serving skills were very lacking.

Wasn't impressed at all with the food or the service. One friends order was messed up (she requested a substitute that was on the menu and the cook just put something else on it without checking), my friends grilled sandwich was burnt, my order was missing a couple items. We seemed to be a burden to the waiter, overall was not impressed it all! I'd say half of us just thought the food was okay.
The atmosphere is really cool, I just don't know that I'd go back.

Everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. This was our first visit there. Our order was wrong, my poached egg was under cooked. By the time the waiter brought our food to the table, it was Luke warm at best.

My husband and I decided to stop here for breakfast. Super nice staff, but we waited for our food (just a simple cheese omelet and 3 eggs and bacon) for 30 minutes. When it finally came out the omelet was completely different than what we ordered and we only got 2 eggs. Don't eat here if you don't want to spend the majority of the morning waiting for your food.

The owner is really nice and did a free magic show for the kids during our meal. I have been here a few times and it is a wonderful family friendly place and all the food I have had was excellent (Mufaletta, Pasta, various other sandwiches and breakfast dishes). It is all home-cooked food. The only thing is that it does take a while to get your food and the service is touch and go depending on who they have in there waiting tables. Very historic and classy place (check out the room-length bar). They just need to hire some good (maybe more?) waitstaff because really, the large eclectic menu is fantastic and the location is great.

I like the old time building and decorations. The service was really nice. The food was not as good as the other times I was there. I ordered garlic burger and garlic fries and there was no garlic on them. I added bacon to my burger and it came with a half strip that was in half to look like 2 peices.

Got the eggs Benedict. Only thing we liked was the potatoes. Staff is very friendly but service was exceptionally slow. Waitress forgot we ordered coffee for 20 minutes and unfortunately the coffee was completely bland. Honestly cannot recommend them for breakfast.
