Jakey Leigh's Café Bakery

Great Little place in downtown Kanab. My wife and I each order bagels which are made their daily. She had the jalapeño cheddar which was very spicy. I had a breakfast sandwich and an ice coffee. The service was a little slow with only one person behind the counter. I could see that being a problem if it was busier. Overall a great place to get your day started and have something before Hopefully tickets to the wave :)

There are a limited number of options to get a quick bite for breakfast in Kanab, but I still wouldn't chose to go back here. The selection was very limited and for the price that you pay I don't think the food was worth it. My partner and I both got bagel sandwiches and were both left unsatisfied. The staff was very nice and friendly.
I do want to note that despite me referring to this as a quick bite the food still took ten to fifteen minutes to be prepared which is nice for it being fresh but not a grab and go kind of place.

They were slammed but we got our food surprisingly fast. I had a drip coffee and a bacon, egg, and cheese English muffin sandwich. Exactly what I needed for a pre-hike breakfast! We sat on the patio with our dog. It was lovely.

These are difficult times for many businesses and I am reluctant to write a poor review. My hope is that the owner of the business reads this and does something about it.
We arrived mid-morning, and it wasn't overly busy. There were 4 people in line ahead of me and it took just shy of 15 minutes to order a cup of coffee. To make matters worse I paid 3.27 for the most mediocre drip coffee on the planet.
There was a woman preparing food and every few minutes she would walk out into the center of the coffee shop, bellow out the name of the person who had placed the order, and, if they didn't answer after 3 or 4 seconds she'd do it again even louder! I had a view of the food prep area and it was dirty, in fact, the whole place could use a serious cleaning. It's a lovely location and with some new staff and clean up has potential.
Simply could not imagine ever going back, who knows, maybe I caught them on a bad day.

AMAZING LATTE!!! We weren't expecting to find such a great latte on the road to the Grand Canyon, but it was so good! The breakfast sandwich was good too. It was a little bit of a wait and a large part of the seating seemed to be occupied by locals catching up and helping themselves to their coffees, lol. But it was a nice breakfast spot!

Don’t go. They have no business management skills. The woman at the counter takes forever to acknowledge any customers waiting to order. The service was extremely slow. It took a 1/2 hour for two breakfast sandwiches. Since I was waiting off to the side the entire time, I noticed how unsanitary their establishment is. The woman at the counter was holding her baby as she was fixing drinks. She wiped her mouth and never washed her hands twice. Never again!

Love to support family owned business. Food and cafe were great. Service was awesome. I think i even got to meet Jakey. Prices were also awesome. Almost made the mistake of going somewhere else but glad i found this place

While the employees were nice and the coffee shop was cute, I would not return to this place. The cook did not wash her hands and did not use gloves in handling food. She went from touching raw bacon to touching bread. It was disgusting watching her cook and it made me lose my appetite. She was also rubbing her hands on her jeans and then immediately touching food again. If you’re coming for a drink it’s fine, but it is not sanitary for food.

Good little spot. Quality food, minimal/moderate quantities. But the price is great. I would choose this over fast food 100/100 times. Thanks!!
