Wild Thyme Cafe

Came in for quick bite and some drinks and was not disappointed. The atmosphere of the place was quite inviting. The service was quick and efficient. Our server Tanner took our order with the most cheerful demeanor and brought our food out in no time. The salted caramel cheesecake was divine. And the drinks were superb. Lots to choose from on the menu and drink menu cannot wait until we return again. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for food dessert or drinks in the area.

I did not think I would find food like this in this town. The ambiance was good here but the food is where this place shines. Unique flavors and interesting dishes. The salmon I had was incredible with the coconut rice and peppers. Then the Jamaican pork bowl I think it’s called was so freaking good. Tender pork with the coconut rice just melts in your mouth. Even the black bean veggie sliders were good and full of flavor! I would 100% recommend this place if you’re looking for something different than the hundreds of American and Mexican restaurants in the area.

We came here when visiting Kanab based on the recommendation of a friend. They have an outdoor patio that we enjoyed.

My husband and I shared:
- Tropical Piggy
- Pistachio Chicken

Both of the dishes were good. Between the two, I liked the Tropical Piggy more. The meat was so tender and the sauce was delicious.

The prices are kind of high and the portions aren't super big, so we both had to eat more after we left.

Quick Summary
The food was excellent here, highly recommend the "tropical piggy" and the pistachio chicken (they do a spectacular job with their sauces). Service was slow, as they were understaffed so it was understandable. Plenty of parking available

Pistachio chicken- this was my favorite dish. It was so good. It's my highest recommendation for this spot

Tropical Piggy- this was pretty good. All the ingredient were fresh and delicious

Salmon- this was good, but it was last in our 3 orders. Would stick with the pistachio chicken and tropical piggy

Service- 4 stars
Our server, Harrison, was pretty good, especially as he was covering to be a server as a bartender. It's understandable due to the labor shortage throughout the restaurant industry

Bottom Line
I had some low expectations as there was a long wait for our food and orders, but I was very surprised by the excellent food served. Definitely would recommend if you have some time in the area

Great little restaurant. I got the grilled trout and it is excellent! The asparagus is perfectly cooked and the dressings are all made in-house (which I do not see often). My only recommendation would be better music. The radio is OK but not when they start talking about news etc. That said, the food and service is spot on! 👌 The key lime is to die for, just like in Key West!

The best meal we have after 1.5 weeks in our journey to national parks. Passed by this charming town, Kanab for lunch on our way to the Grand Canyon North Rim NS. We got ourselves the Tropical Piggy, Pistachio Chicken, Big Sexy Burger and Carrot cake as dessert. The tropical piggy was superb, with a very big chunk of slow cooked pork belly which was kind of melt in your mouth. The chicken was tender and went well with the generous pistachio source/cream, and it was excellent. The burger was not bad either. On the other hand, the carrot cake was not really our favorite, with too much cream icing and a little too dense. Overall we have a satisfied great meal.

Friendly staff, delicious food and dog friendly patio! They were very accommodating and turned on the heaters outside for us and our pooch. We had drinks, the soup of the day (potato soup) and pistachio chicken, which we loved. A bit pricey but their meals are unique and creative. We brought our own mat for our pup but they did have a water bowl.

Got dinner here on our final night in Kanab and was it ever a great choice. Food here is a bit more creative and incredibly delicious. Everything just tastes so darn good. I had the chicken and it might have been the best chicken dish I've ever had. My friend got the bacon wrapped meatloaf and loved it as well. They have a good drink menu as well and the staff was friendly.

Very delightful surprise. The food was delicious, healthy and made with fresh ingredients. I had a tofu bowl that was beautiful to look at with a variety of colors, textures and flavors. The vegetables were so good!!! Would highly recommend. My husband had their pastrami burger and loved it. He is incredibly picky but was very happy with his meal.

Overall, the place was great! I had a very good grilled chicken sandwich with smashed potatoes. I wished they had fries. I also wished they had different appetizers, they didn't seem that appetizing. We went with salads which were large and great. Desserts were also large but the carrot cake seemed very dense and little dry. ...don't get me wrong, I ate the whole slice! Our server, I believe was Krysty. Her and her smile brought our visit up to the five star rating!
