Escalante Outfitters

Went to Escalante Outfitters on two evenings for post-hike pizza and beer. Both were excellent. We sat on the outside deck, which was roomy and comfortable. Very friendly staff. If you are going, be sure to get a slice of their home made chocolate cake or apple pie.
We also shopped at their small store. A great selection of hats, T-shirts, skin-friendly soaps and hiking necessities. A treasure of a place in any town!

Ordered a half and half pizza which they were happy to do. We waited at an outdoor table for about 20 minutes but decided we’d rather take the pizza to-go because I wasn’t feeling so great. I think they mistook this for us being dissatisfied and offered us free desserts. I told them it wasn’t necessary and we were doing just fine waiting and that we genuinely just changed our mind about staying out but they wouldn’t hear it and still gave us 4 free desserts when we left. They were the nicest people and the pizza was really good. I would definitely go back and eat there again.

Always like staying here when in Escalante The cabins are cozy with comfy beds. No problem walking across to bathroom and showers which are always clean A nice break from camping. Wonderful pizza and of course nice to have a Latte in the morning. 3rd time staying here and will be back next year

Wish I had snapped a picture of our salad and pizzas, but they are gone. The pizzas here were crispy flavorful and loaded with fresh ingredients. The crust is perfect. Our arugula pecan salad was a very generous portion and very fresh. So glad we stopped. Oh…and they have a great beer menu also. What a find

My family and I just stayed in the larger Lost cabin for two nights and had an excellent experience. It was very clean, roomy, and adequately comfortable, the location was great, and we loved being able to use the fire pit and sit on the front porch. I also appreciated that bedding and towels were included, as that is not always the case with similar "camping" cabins. We felt the price was on point for the quality of experience we had. We absolutely would stay here again.

I absolutely loved the restaurant. Super friendly people everywhere. They made me feel welcomed. The Neon pizza was amazing with fresh veggies. The salads are unbelievably good. Very very very fresh veggies and toppings. Staff really makes you feel at home. Nice gift shop, too. Picked up a couple of books about the Southwest. I would definitely return when traveling through here in the future.

My husband and I came to Escalente for our 1 year marriage anniversary. We decided to eat out for lunch. The cashier “Fran” was honestly so kind and welcoming. The food was amazing. And the atmosphere was homey in a way. Great place, highly recommend :)

I absolutely, positively recommend this place to ANYONE. The food was fantastic; especially the pizza. It was a very pleasant surprise. Plus they have gear and other stuff for outdoor adventures.

SUCH good pizza. And their arugula pecan salad is the best salad I’ve ever had.

Ps We always stay in their little cabins. They’re adorable, clean, inexpensive, and convenient. Great staff, great store, great restaurant.

Easily one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. And their cheesecake was also to die for. Can’t recommend this place enough. I already can’t wait to go back to Escalante and have some pizza.
