Escalante Outfitters

We stopped by here while camping and hiking for several days in the Escalante region. The location also offers cabin rentals but we only visited the restaurant. Every aspect of this place was great.

It was walking distance from our campsite, it was absolutely delicious food, all the staff were wonderful and the store had tons of cool outdooring supplies and souvenirs. We got a custom pizza with artichoke, tomato, feta and roasted garlic as well as the Homesteader's Delight and Apple Pecan salads. The pizza ranks in my top 10 pizza experiences ever and the salads were so fresh and delicious.

They closed the restaurant's interior dining area because of the current health crisis with staff both wearing masks and requiring masks, offering one to those without. The precautions were greatly appreciated.

The food was SOOOO good!! And they sell liquor! I had the muffuletta sandwich and the side salad that came with it was huge and awesome topped with roasted peppers and pickled onions. The baked goods were fresh and delicious as well.

Great food and even better service. Fran was awesome. She went out of her way to complement her co-workers. When I said how delicious the cake in the cooler looked - she pointed to a co-worked and said what a great job she did making the desserts.

After we were done with our DELICIOUS pizzas and told here how yummy they were - she immediately complete the the guys working in the back saying what an awesome job they always did making the food.

The food was top notch, but above that I was impressed with Fran. A true gem for your business. It was my first time eating at your place, and if I am ever driving through again, I would definitely come back!

Great Pizza and Salads. The salads are huge easy to share. They also have a small but nicely stocked liquor store.

We stopped in here after a long hike and the pizza was delicious! Just what you need when you're hungry! Our service was awesome, as well.

Visited today, purchased coffee and some gear, and sat down to do some work for an hour or two. Around an hour in, a worker asks us to get up and make room for customers who had ordered pizza. There were plenty of seats open outside to sit and eat, and the couple behind us had laptops and were working as well, but they told us to get up instead. I was about to order a pizza too.

Felt incredibly rude, especially since we had spend more money than a pizza at this place, weren't there for that long, and there were plenty of seats open. The couple just wanted our table because it was a good table.

So yeah, not a good look to get rid of paying customers. Because of this, I won't be back. I come to this area often, and will just go to the natural grocery store for coffee and workspace instead. They were much busier and let us sit for several hours. Better coffee, wifi, and food there too.

Awesome food and great people running the place and working there. We got the pizza, a salad, and a cobbler thingy, and they tasted great. The pizza was jam packed with flavor. The store is well stocked with adventure gear, and the staff was very knowledgeable about the local hikes and clings.

Amazing pizza!! My husband is from Sicily, Italy and even he was impressed!! Friendly staff as well. I rarely leave reviews but we were so pleasantly surprised that I had to. Great experience all around, and the perfect reward for our post hike trek.

We came in towards the end of the day super hungry and nothing else was open and we really wanted their pizza (or any pizza) but (inexplicably to us) they ran out! And that's the only food they have so how do you run out?? Still, the guy working there felt so bad that he offered us HIS pizza (that he didn't eat for lunch)! I mean, that's dedication to service and great kindness that we rarely encounter and though we didn't take him up on his offer, we appreciated the thought. Needless to say, we ate there for the rest of our trip. The pizza is really good (though not the best) and a bit overpriced but hard to beat that service; highly recommend!

Our favorite campsite so far after 3 months of driving through the Southwest! The entire staff is really friendly and helpful. Bathrooms and laundry room are clean, showers are hot, picnic tables with outlets are convenient for getting work done, location is perfect, pizza is incredible. Highly recommend!
