Red Oak Cafe - League City

Absolutely fantastic experience! It was my first time going in and I have to say, the food is amazing! The lemon blueberry pancakes are phenomenal and my server, Raquel, was so helpful with picking out the food and so kind. Fantastic food and service, will definitely be back!

I got the big breakfast and the food itself was amazing. The pancakes though we're doughy and a bit pasty. I just didn't like the texture of them, and they were a bit too big. It would also be nice if the server would give a heads up that something costs extra, rather than just saying "add this."

Our first time! Great experience. We took out some and his family. Pancakes as big as plates! Gabrielle was our server and did a fabulous job. We felt special. Go early. The place is popular. Breakfast starts at 7 am. Closed on Mondays. Check the menu and prices online.

Oh my, this was an awesome find. We found out about this place from one of my wife's co-workers. We were seated immediately upon entering. There was a nice crowd in the restaurant and everyone was enjoying themselves. Our waitress was Rosie and she was extremely pleasant. I reviewed the menu prior to leaving home, so I had my order ready. Coincidentally, my wife and I ended up ordering the same thing, the Big Breakfast. It comes with 3 eggs with your choice of preparation, except for omelet which was going to be my choice, hash browns/grits, your choice of meat, your choice of bread, and 2 pancakes. My granddaughter had a waffle and an order of bacon. Let me start off by saying that the waffle and pancakes were the size of the plate, "HUGE." The portion size of the other items were also very generous. For the amount of food that we received, the pricing is amazingly very reasonable. The service was exceptional as well. We would definitely visit again and recommend any and everyone to stop by and try out Red Oak. On a side note, if you're interested, they have stick em notes in the restroom if you want to leave a personal message on the wall or anywhere in the restroom.

We had a really good meal here. The food is excellent, and the portions are large. Our sever did a fantastic job and was very attentive even though it was a busy Saturday morning. Our only complaint is that we came for a couple of specific menu items, only to find they are no longer available. But we would definitely eat here again.

Good traditional breakfast, and the workers were nice!! Fyi if you have time I would definitely recommend you reading the backstory of Red Oak Cafe.

Our waiter was sitting on our table as we were seated and took 10-15 seconds to realize we couldn't sit down. When asked if jalapenos could be left off a dish was told no, it was already pre-made and had to make another selection. Service and food quality seem to be slipping since business was sold.

Amazing breakfast and always great service. I usually come here on weekends and no matter if it is packed the service is still great! I recommend to get here early to beat the line. I love the pancakes and biscuits with gravy. Everything is very tasty and fresh!

Omg the chicken pot pie was delicious. There was a fluffy biscuit style crust on the top of the pie that meshed well with the creamy chicken gravy. Yummy. My husband had the stew, the beef was very tender and did not have a dry texture.

The staff, food and service were great. I would have given 5 stars but upon arrival we were told it would be a 35 min wait, which I understand is an estimate. After 45 minutes, I noticed people that arrived after us were still going in before us. I asked why that was (we were only party of 4) and it was because people were checking in online. I had 2 children under 2 years old and it would have been great to know this was occurring because we didn't get seated until an hour and 5 minutes after arrival. They did expedite and brought the kids plates out first after waiter noticed they were already impatient. Huge thanks! In total we ended up spending 2 hours there after we finished eating. Maybe having a system that only allows X number of online check in's per hour would be ideal.
