The food is wonderful. We tried almost all the appetizers and were not disappointed.
I was not sold by the chicken fried steak (despite being the one that made them won awards), but everything else was so delicious, that they still deserve 5 stars.

Make sure you leave space for the pies!

The food is to die for. I usually get the Friday Chicken Tortilla Casserole special but tried the fried shrimp this time and wow, was it good! The husband got the grilled shrimp and honestly it looked just as good. The potato wedges and homemade chips are also incredible. You can't go wrong with any of the appetizers either, highly recommend the mozzarella sticks and fried mushrooms. And I love that they serve the beverages in Mason jars, such a cute touch. Highly recommend, great friendly atmosphere and excellent food. May have to try the pie one of these visits, they always look good!

We had a great visit to City Hall Cafe and Pie Bar today! The service was excellent, and everything we had to eat was so good. The decor is super fun, and very Texan. Both of our meals were very good, but we especially enjoyed the bacon and cheese potato wedges and the key lime pie. The fresh lemonade was great as well! I would recommend this spot to anyone in the Huntsville area, and would definitely return!

This was a fun place. Surrounded by endless curio’s made waiting for food peaceful. Folks visited casually. Great conversations & laughter. They gladly accommodated our Service Dog. Food was well prepared. Great experience.

Stopped in Huntsville Texas for lunch today and picked this neat Cafe close to downtown.
This place has an old store feel and fun ambiance. The young lady who served us was very good and friendly. Diane ordered the grilled yardbird (chicken) with homemade chips and mixed veggies ( a contradiction I know) minus the gravy. The chicken was tender and well flavored with what seemed to be a hint of citrus. The mixed vegetables were a little softer than we like but not overdone and a good but not heavy taste. The homemade chips were spot on, lightly seasoned and crispy fresh. A good house specialty.
I had the sunny side burger, bun-less, with the mixed veggies ( I'm trying to eat a little better). The veggies I already reviewed but the burger was cooked well and tasty and I'm sure would be a good real burger.
Overall we enjoyed the experience and the food. Two thumbs up 👍.

The atmosphere is so neat. You could probably spend an hours just looking at everything. They have many food choices including options that vegetarians can eat. The service was wonderful, and we were checked on frequently.

Awesome place to stop in for food and decor! Definitely a Texas Gem! I ordered the Chik'n fried steak/fried okra/green beans and Salted Chocolate Carmel Pecan Pie

Good burger joint. They have a lot more besides burgers. If you're traveling down I-45 it's worth the 10 minute detour if you're looking for something besides a chain restaurant.

Alright, a new city so new restaurant. Got to give this pick to my sexy PYT wife, I think she asked Google. First of they say 'this not ain't fast food". It's wasn't pack but there were a lot of 10 or people tables so they were working hard. This is a large restaurant with very very limited parking. We parked 2 blocks away. As you can see once again I forgot food photos, to busy talking and extra spirits....there was three of us. Grilled Chicken Salad, Grilled Chicken Dinner and Chicken Finger Dinner. We had hot sauce and chips for the appetizer. If you like a "sweet" hot sauce this is for you, we don't. We all agree the food was good and aa0the portions was on the small side. The House Margarita and Vodka Martini were tasty. We loved the interior decorations were cool and relaxing. Shout out to the waitress awesome job handling her section and all thoughts people.

The BBQ Boss burger was amazing! Great flavor and some of the best bacon I've had on a burger in a very long time. We tried to order the Blood Orange margarita but they had sold out some of the ingredients so we chose the Pineapple Jalapeno Margarita and Caribbean Margarita instead. They were, hands down, some of the best margaritas we've EVER had and are reason enough for a trip to Huntsville. We picked a "pie flight" to sample several flavors. The Key Lime was OK but lacked the citrus "zing" that I look for in a great Key Lime Pie. Likewise, the Pumpkin Pie wasn't particularly pumpkin flavored. The Vinegar Pecan was ok. It seemed they all were in pre-made, commercial pie crust and wasn't particularly memorable. Still, we'll be back - especially for the margaritas!
