Friendly-cozy environment. The coffee is amazing!

This place is so good. The staff is super nice and the food is fresh. 8 of us came here for breakfast and sat under the trees for a couple hours. Definitely worth the drive from downtown. “The Breakfast Sandwich” is a must try.

This coffee shop is so beautiful and comfy! There is enough kinds of sitting (by the fireplace, at a table, outside, and at the little porch) for all kinds of groups. There is enough space outside for kids to play while enjoying a decilious cup of coffee. Bookshelves in every room full with books. The coffee is exceptional and the pastries super fresh and delicious. Very clean bathrooms and super friendly staff.

I visited there on October 17, 2020. I am giving this place a solid 5 stars. I will admit I only bought a coffee and a scone, but I am rating on service and those two things along with location and ambiance.

I had read the reviews. I have stopped going to the chain coffee stores a while back so I get on my Google maps and find quaint coffee stores like this one. I read the reviews. I had read they weren't wearing masks. Let me put everyone at ease....THEY ARE WEARING MASKS!!!! Thank you Cracked Mug Coffee House! It was drizzling outside, which is a rarity in the Hill Country and South Central Texas, so along with wearing masks they are also practicing social distancing...lol...only one party in the shop at a time. Which is fine, I had on a hoody, and I just pulled it up to cover my hair. I went in and was greeted. They had half and half!!! YES!!! They also had heavy whipping cream!!! Double yes!!! Then I told them that I shop small coffee houses...ya'll...this place thanked me and then told me about another local coffee house right down the road and suggested next time I am in Helotes to try them also. I mean, what business does that??? They stated it's all about helping each other out during these hard times!! And I agree!!! This place of business earned my respect!! And patronage!!!

The coffee was amazing!!! I enjoyed it!! The scone was a pumpkin scone. It was ok. Not my favorite, but I am not a huge scone person to begin with as they tend to be dry, and this one was. Nor am I am huge pumpkin fan. I will say this one was not overly pumpkin tasting. So I did like that!

Thank you Cracked Mug Coffee....you earned my business. I will try the other coffee house, per your suggestion..to help support small businesses, but you have a patron for life out of me whenever I am in Helotes!!!! Thank you!

Nice outdoor venue for meeting up for coffee.

coffee tastes watered down, cinnamon roll muffin was dry. Went twice, wonderful shop itself but the mood was anything but welcoming either time and they were "training" a young girl, definitely not of working age, and treating her horribly the entire time. they have very little personality or patience. Basically felt like I should just leave as soon as I was done paying.

This is a cute homey place with plenty of power outlets and different seating options. I love it because they serve breakfast all day and their Japanese iced coffee is super smooth. The staff is super friendly too so overall it is a pleasant experience.

Food was great, but the lady who took our order was rude and looked very overwhelmed. The other lady behind the counter was also very rude when a man noticeably did not drink coffee, he ordered an espresso and didnt realize it was a strong drink. He asked how to fix it and she became very annoyed with him. The lady who took our order eventually went to the dining room to give him a run down on latte's, cappuccinos and flavored coffees. But it's a small place, out of the way, really not very much traffic. If you're needing the customers, no matter how good your food is... it's all about the service you receive!.. BE NICE! Good customer service can take you places and bring people back. I follow you on Facebook and was really looking forward to trying your food. But after the rude service, don't think I will be back.

Great owners, food and drink, but the staff is lazy and entitled. They’ll tell you they aren’t taking food orders if they’re feeling overwhelmed, not the same experience as it used to be. Suggest bringing back the self serve coffee.

Very cute, and small, coffee shop with various forms of seating, both inside and outside. They can make your coffee anyway you want it and give you food options, for breakfast and lunch. The staff is super nice! Definitely a good reason to stop in.
