The Cracked Mug Coffee House

My husband and I came in for some coffee, lemonade, and muffins today! The service was so friendly and we enjoyed our chat with the ladies behind the counter so much. It was like you walked into their house and they were so welcoming. If your looking for a cozy and friendly atmosphere to enjoy a delicious sweet treat and/or a coffee, tea, or lemonade with friends or family, this is your place. There is WiFi and plenty of surge bars for charging your phone or plugging in a laptop. There was a college focus group in there this morning while we were there with plenty of room to spread out and brainstorm. There is even a vegan muffin option for vegans or like my son and I who cant have dairy or eggs! The vegan peanut butter chocolate muffin was so delicious!!! I am not a baker so I fully appreciated the skill of them making the muffins taste like that, especially without using dairy and eggs in the recipe!😊 One of the ladies' daughter was helping out this morning and she was so sweet and great with us customers as well😊. We will definitely be coming back to enjoy this cozy coffee shop soon! Thanks ladies

Get up through the line to order and they’re out of sausage AND waffles!? At 11am?? We were given a buzzer for the food, it goes off and we go to the front. They tell us to sit back down and they’ll bring it out, what’s the point of a buzzer? Also, we ATE our entire meal before even receiving the drinks. Poorly managed, can definitely be more efficient. Food tasted good though, drink was good.

Sadly they seem to be very overwhelmed and understaffed. After 45 mins of waiting for our breakfast I went to check in and they had forgotten about our food. They said they would work on it right now. Checked in again 20 mins later and they hadn't made any progress. We got a waffle and a scramble bowl, so it wasn't a lot of food we were waiting on. Someone else went up to check on their food and had a similar issue so they canceled and got a refund. I decided to do the same thing. Their food is good when you get it, but they are unreliable. Drinks seem to be no problem, but I don't recommend going to get food there.

The breakfast taco was amazing! The staff work so hard to get your order ready in a timely manner. It was a busy morning on Friday and they kept their cool and pushed through it with great customer service. I will definitely be back!

Cute cafe with a courtyard, making it a dog friendly place to hang out. I ordered the Cinnamon Roll Latte and my wife ordered the Old Town Turtle. We both enjoyed our drinks.

Great coffee, food and service! I'd almost call it a cafe with a coffee house vibe. Nice folks running the place. Appeared to be a local gem based on the traffic I saw, many of which appeared to be regulars. Interior is well arranged - plenty of seating without feeling crowded and lot of seating available outdoors, too, with shade and room for kiddos to roam. You order at the counter, but they bring it to you, even if you are sitting outside. Big city style with small town service. I'll be back.

Super cute coffee shop in old town helotes! Glad to have more options out this direction. It wasn't super quick during the morning rush, but the coffee, food, and atmosphere were worth the wait.

Cozy, quirky and kindness are part of what I experienced at The Cracked Mug. My food and coffee were both served hot and satisfying.

This little hidden gem is wonderful! They make delicious coffees, teas and lemonades. They also have breakfast and lunch. They share a vast outside space with other businesses and their inside is very cozy. The staff is polite and they offer a nice military discount. The coffee and fresh air and quiet ambiance itself is worth it by itself.

This place is great! It didn't feel overly crowded but it had that perfect little coffee house vibe you just won't get at a Starbucks. Plus: they have some nice food and drink options, and aren't ridiculously priced. I have a feeling my writing group is going to end up getting together there again in the future.
