The Sunflower Bakery & Cafe

After a morning at the beach we came here for lunch. We both got the egg salad sandwich with a side of fries and potato salad. I assumed the bread would have been toasted but that was not the case so I'll know for next time. Really enjoyed the blueberry coffee cake (I think that's what it was called). Staff was friendly and service was fast.

Let's start off by saying this place is popular and a wait on the weekend is normal. We had mimosas made with fresh squeezed juice while waiting for our table. Once we were seated, I enjoyed a delicious hazelnut Cafe latte and a bakery plate for the table. The muffins and strawberry butter were superb. I followed up my brunch with the challah French toast with a side of bacon. I definitely recommend trying this place out. And if you have 4 legged children, their patio is dog friendly.

Awesome breakfast. Coffee was really good. We got crab cakes with poached eggs and Hollendaise sauce, toast and red potatoes and an order of blueberry pancakes. The bloody Mary's are delicious too. 😋

Great little place for lunch/brunch. Anticipate a wait, but you can get coffee or an amazing Bloody Mary. Prices and service were great. Before you leave stock up on their baked goods.

I loved my experience here. The staff is very friendly and fast, the cafe offers many breakfast and lunch items of many varieties! The bakery has so much to choose from and everything looks fresh. Management is always on their toes and I will definitely be coming here with friends again. Loved my food too 5 star

The Sunflower Bakery and Cafe is a popular breakfast spot in Galveston and I can see why- the food is delicious!! My breakfast plate came with eggs and bacon and pancakes! The blueberry pancakes were so good! We also got the Challah French Toast which was excellent. Everyone raves about the cinnamon rolls which were sold out by the time we got there at noon. Friendly staff all the way through from the host to server to busser. Excellent place all around and great bar too and great patio. Go to The Sunflower Bakery!!!

The food was delicious! I had the Crab Cake Benedict and it was just what the doctor ordered on my birthday weekend! Don’t forget to order the skillet fried potatoes. Enjoy!

Eating @ the sunflower cafe is a MUST whenever you visit the island. Be warned that this place gets pretty packed and if you going during weekend peak hours you’ll like have to wait (don’t worry they have a good amount of seats for waiting both indoors + out), but it’s definitely worth it. My favorite thing from the menu was the grilled cinnamon roll.

Omg, this place is yummy! I’ve eaten here a few times. Wanted to make sure each time was just as good before I posted a review and I was not disappointed any of those times! Great customer service. Prices are comparable to most other places with the same quality of food on the island. So far, I’ve indulged in breakfast, lunch, dinner and desserts. Below is my most recent meal. Requested a spin on the Classic Eggs Benedict, that I have eaten before at a French cuisine in San Francisco. Asked for Fried Chicken Tenders in place of the Canadian Bacon. The waitress simply stated that she believed it shouldn’t be a problem, but that she would have to ask the chef first. Once he ok’d it; she nicely came back and said no problem and advised me that there would be an up charge. Which, was completely to be expected. And let me tell you, it was TOTALLY worth every penny!

We chose to eat in the courtyard. It was very cute inside and out. Excellent food. Excellent service. Fresh pies and baked goods available. Highly recommend. Parking was full. Had to park a block away, but worth it.
