Been coming here since I moved to Galveston in 2019. It's a fantastic place that is really a big part of my Galveston experience. I frequent the place as a place to study. They have both coffee and lots of alcoholic drinks. It's especially a nice place to study on a weekend night when all I want to do is hang with my friends instead. So to keep things spicy, I usually will get a draft deer on a slow Saturday night.

The only reason I take a star is because their wifi isn’t always the most reliable.

This place is also perfect for a hang out with friends or when family come into town. Pro has art exhibits year round that changes about once a month from amazing local artists. They have a large selection of board games as well. Check them out!

Really great stop before dinner on our way through Galveston. Enjoyed a hibiscus sangria- SO delicious. I'm not normally a huge sangria fan, some tend to be too sweet. We also had a hibiscus prosecco which was great as well. They had a full coffee bar that we didn't get anything from, but everything they were making looked wonderful. Our bartender/server was super friendly and helpful.

Went in a Saturday night. They had a art event going on upstairs. It was busy & a fun time. Had some good coffee drinks. Ordered a slice of pizza but it came out a little soggy. Overall it was a good time.

Good selection of draft beer.
However the bartender is rude.
I have been working on the island in the health industry and never met anyone this rude. Went to look around during lunch time. Will never come back there.

Great spot. It's useful in so many ways. The wonderful mix of coffee and alcoholic beverages that make it perfect to visit mid-day or late at night. Close enough to shops and such to be a welcome break spot during a day out, or a relatively relaxed place for wrap-up-the-evening drinks. Board game selection is a good variety (try dixit!) and the bartenders are chill. And the coffee is quality stuff. Had my first undertow here, and I dream of visiting again and having another.

Shannon is definitely a true hospitality professional. I really appreciate her making me feel welcome there as well as the amazing accommodations with the pizza and drink selections. Thank you for everything this weekend!

Had a great time seeing art in this café.. enjoyed a few beer flights and the barista had great suggestions for our first visit to the island. We happened to be there during an art walk day, had a lot of fun exploring the art in near by stores. The pizza was good.. the coffee could be better.

Great feel to this place. Very welcoming & relaxed. The Proletariat is located off the Strand. And that's a good thing.
It's calmer in here. You don't feel as rushed.

Great selection of beers, wine & they have an espresso machine.
The music & art is a great touch.
