MOD Coffeehouse

Everything about MOD Coffeehouse is awesome - the drinks, the sweet treats, the vibe, and there is plenty of seating indoors and on the patio. Their espresso drinks are some of the best I've ever had! Whether it's a latte, a cortado, or a flat white, their espresso drinks are always on point. This is my go-to place if I need to get out of the house and grab a good pick-me-up.

We visited for one week- Michael, the barista was there every day. He was helpful, sweet and funny! Coffee was absolutely wonderful. Atmosphere was phenomenal. Indoor and outdoor seating. Try the cheesecake bars. They’re divine! I also ordered the iced caramel latte with oat milk. So delicious! 10 out of 10, would come here again!

We’ll definitely be back to this coffee shop! We had an Almond Joy Iced Latte and an Espresso Con Panna to drink that were both good. What you would expect for both of those drinks, except they didn’t mix the latte at all… so all of the ingredients were completely separate when they handed it to me which was a bummer because then it came out of the drinking hole when I mixed it.

We also got a Cheesecake Bar, Espresso Brownie, and Peanut Butter Bar 🤤 The brownie was dry and I wouldn’t get it again. The cheesecake was good too, but could use some fruit to add flavor. Now the peanut butter bar… holy…. I need 835 more of those… 🤤🤤🤤 It has graham cracker crust on the bottom that’s ~1/2in thick, covered with a huge layer of peanut butter, and topped with semisweet chocolate. It’s super rich but ugh YUM.

We sat outside on the patio which was a nice area and shaded… but there was a really brave big bird that jumped on our table… tried to eat our food… then sat on my backpack… 🤢

The service was also quite mediocre … very impersonal which I don’t expect from a community coffee shop 😕

Mad props for the attempt in reducing waste from them though, I GREATLY appreciate this!!!

I frequent mod, at least once a week.. and at most every day! The staff are always incredibly kind and personable. As someone who works in foodservice, it's always nice to feel like a staff are talking *to* you, not at you. Their coffees are always amazing, and the vibe both inside and out are wonderful. They have a lounge area where you can study and relax, as well as the main area. There is lots of seating and plenty of outlets for charging phones or laptops.

Outside, the patio is super cute with plenty more seating and lots of shade! The birds may pop by for a visit as some of them seem to live in the greenery nearby, but this was a welcome visit for me, and they weren't invasive.

All in all, whether you're local or a visitor, MOD is the place to be! Oh, and their lemon lavender cookies are incredible.

Super nice people here! And a shaded patio & water bowls for pups. Doggies can’t go inside, but you can order online & mention that you’re outside with your dog & they’ll bring your order out to you. They did for me and it was super quick, too! ❤️ The cold brew and the berry smoothie are good. The smoothie has yogurt by default, so if you can’t have dairy just mention it in the notes section. 😊

Surprisingly beautiful coffee shop tucked in Galveston. Good coffee, lots of seating area and beautifully decorated place. Good service too.

Came in this morning, the male barista was very cool and patient with me since I was on the phone and unfortunately couldn’t get off and still needed to order. But when I saw that maybe my order was ready I asked the female who was making the drink if that was my order? She was very sarcastic with me, she asked me if I ordered and “ repeated my ordered back to me” and said I yes. Then She said then it’s probably yours, very condescending. I wasn’t gonna assume that I was the only one who could have ordered that drink and just grab it. There were people in front of me. Also asked for a cup holder; and the cup holder was absolutely useless!! Didn’t even hold the cups !! It was to big!! And I got the biggest size drinks they had! I regret leaving them a 25% tip…

Was recommended to come here for coffee by the front desk at our hotel and was not disappointed! Staff were super friendly had great recommendations!

I had the "Holly" late which was great and the Sausage and Gravy kolache per their recommendation, then grabbed a Carrot Cake cookie and a regular coffee to go! Everything tasted great and a fantastic vibe! Would definitely visit again

The server was fast and friendly. I don’t have much to say about the place. I ordered an iced chai latte and a carrot cookie cake. The chai latte had way too much milk and not enough chai. The carrot cookie cake felt like it needed a little sugar for the cream cheese frosting.

Overall, I would give this place another shot if I stop by Galveston.

If you are a coffee drinker, MOD Coffeehouse will become your morning stop every day while on vacation! After trying it out on day 1, we ended up going back every morning! I got The Gonzo, The Holly and Honey Bee, all iced with oat milk, and all were perfection (insert chef’s kiss)! I can be a picky coffee drinker, so finding killer iced lattes with oat milk in a great spot made morning coffee runs that much easier! They also have a rotating supply of kolaches from a local baker, and the birthday cake was by far my favorite!

My husband is a chai tea latte drinker, and he said that MOD’s chai was in the running for being one of the best he’s ever had.

The baristas were all friendly, made the drinks quickly and correctly! I highly recommend hitting up MOD for morning coffee, tea and a light breakfast!
