Food absolutely yummy. Good old American cuisine, Lemon bars perfect. If you are cruisin' thru Brehnam & need some grub, give them a try. You won't be disappointed

Smitty's is a small and rustic place, with the best breakfast in Brenham! The service is wonderful and all the people who work here make you feel right at home! If the breakfast here is this wonderful, I can only imagine how good their chicken fried steak is... I'll definitely be back, for sure!! :)

Because of its high rating, we decided to drive in from out of town for breakfast. Like someone else said in a previous post, this may have been an isolated incident but the food was definitely subpar. The eggs had no flavor, the potatoes tasted like they've been sitting for quite some time and reheated, the sausage was burnt, and the weak coffee was like drinking hot brown water. The toast was burnt around the edges and very dry. We may have caught the chef on a bad day but I'm afraid this bad experience will prevent us from returning. On a positive note, the wait staff was very nice and friendly. If you do decide to try it out, I hope you have better luck than we did.

Wow, this food was really great! Friendly staff. The baked items looked great too, but we were too full to shop!

Good food and good prices. We have always had great service there except for today. Friendly servers but today was a little rough. Our waiter was less than thrilled to serve our party of 18 today. Otherwise I would have left a 5 star rating.

Took a ride with my husband to Brenham today which is one of my favorite towns. After he visited with a Customer, we hunted for a place to get a bite to eat. Came across Smitty's Cafe and decided to give them a try. I give them 5 stars. Very laid back and the food was the best country cooking I've had in a very long time. If you're looking for some great home cooking, this is your place!

This place was amazing, best chicken fried steak I have had ever! The atmosphere felt like home and the staff is welcoming and friendly. I'm comming back for lunch the same day before I leave to go back to houston.

Been to new location off 290 10+ times since they opened. The food has been good but the service is getting worse and worse. Monday three of us were at at a table and never got drink refills, today we never received refills and our drinks were empty when we received our food. When I went to pay I told them and was told since they just opened they are still learning and was offered drinks to go. They never brought those either so we just left. Last week was no better, no refills the whole time. Until they figure out how to ring people up and to get refills out I dont think we are going back.

Fast service. Good food. The omelet was great, fluffy but not over cooked. They’re not skimpy with their avocados, either.
