Very good omelette and grilled potatoes! Biscuit was good but different from a traditional biscuit, it was more bready. Friendly staff good coffee.

Pleasantly surprised by our experience, this New Years Day 2018. Anna or server was so sweet, so fast, and so accommodating. Delicious, from scratch cooking, we enjoyed a grilled blueberry muffin, fluffy omelets, beautiful Anadama bread. I’m a New England boy and this ft the bill on a 23 degree holiday in January. Comfy atmosphere and art could only benefit from some funky tunes.

Went for breakfast one morning. I walked in, there were 3 employees standing behind the front counter just staring at me. I had to walk up and ask where I can sit. One half hazardly mumbled "anywhere". I ordered pancakes, a large coffee, and a glass of water. 2 pancakes were brought out, a weak coffee in a styrofoam cup, no glass of water. The total? $22. I asked "$22 for pancakes and coffee??" The waitress said, oh no I made a mistake. After 5 minutes, they corrected the total to $14. Verdict: GO TO MCDONALDS DOWN THE STREET.

The veggie croissant was absolutely worth the wait.

This was mine and my husband's second time to Judys. Our first time we enjoyed our meals very much, it took awhile to get our food but there was only one guy working at least ten tables. That's hard for anyone but add on he had to cash everyone out at the register as well. The portions were great and felt we got our money worths. This time around, it was even busier with only one lady and a ten year old filling your coffee. To no surprise because again one person running food, taking orders, and cashing everyone out some of our order was forgotten and when I told her after she brought out our food that we were missing items she still never brought it to us.and then never apologized for forgetting. I suggest hire a food runner, and someone for the register and all would run a lil smoother

More like -5 stars...and I will explain. We went here as a large group on Saturday morning. We were seated promptly in a table that was not cleaned off after the previous party had departed. Arms sticking to the table...Yuck! Should have been the 1st red flag indicating to go elsewhere, but Google gave it 4 stars.
I digress, we then sat with 6 "hangry" children for 30 minutes while we waited for drinks...yes, just drinks. The drinks were served in dirty glasses, mine still had someone else's lipstick on it...GROSS! (Not even going there) The place was busy, but we really wanted to get the whole locally owned restaurant experience. Red flag opportunity to leave x2...missed. At the 57 minute mark, the orders started to come out one by one about 3-5 minutes apart. Took 30 more minutes for us all to have a plate in front of us.
My wife, took the little one to the restroom (absolutely disgusting...not even going to address that) and upon her return everyone had a plate except her. The waitress promptly returned to tell my wife that what she ordered was not available. My wife was mortified. She asked for a manager and got the owner. Probably the most unprofessional business owner I have ever encountered...in my life. My wife explained the situation to her and she responded, "What do you want me to do about it." (With some major attitude)
The owner went on to explain how they were very busy and that she was busting her butt...and how she had just had back surgery. She continued to scold my wife by telling her how inconsiderate she was for complaining to her. She further went on to expalin that this business was hers, it was "not an IHOP." No discounts, no rebates, no offer made to remedy the situation. Most importantly, no food for my wife...thank you.
How is this calamity of an operation still in business? Where is the health department?
If I could give -5 stars I would...instead, I'll be on the phone with the Texas Health Department in the morning. Stay Away from this dump Google users!!!! If IHOP was the standard of comparison, this place wouldn't even measure up. I'd more likely compare it to a carnival outhouse.

Great food. Service staff were super friendly even while getting slammed with business they remained accomodating and sweet. Super cool place. You can sit down or order at the counter.

So glad we stopped here on our way home from Marfa. Best breakfast we had our whole trip. Fast, friendly service, everything you want from a diner experience.

I went here on the word of my husband who hadn't been here in 10 years. The guy didn't want to serve me. He dropped my food and never came back to check on us. He was rude and dry, he sent my grits buy someone else. She was just was rude, then when I cashed out she acted like my money was contaminated. I'm sure she sprayed it with some sort of cleaner when I left. My husband was so mad we left alpine a day early. Doubt if I ever go back to Alpine ..
