Had breakfast here as we were passing through. Very friendly staff and good food. We got the short stack and the cowboy breakfast. I don't like pancakes at a lot of restaurants but I'd recommend the short stack out of the two. The cowboy breakfast was good but I wasn't a big fan of the biscuits and gravy even though that's what I usually get at breakfast places. They also have a small selection of baked goods though I didn't try any of them.

Loved the homey, straight forward breakfast eats available in Alpine! Throw in a quick visit from Gubernatorial candidate O'Roark and you've gone full circle!

I ordered to-go, the Cowboy breakfast for myself and the omelette with ham and mushroom for my wife. The food was really good, the sausage, ham and biscuit and gravy are excellent! The eggs in both meals were just your basic homemade eggs. They did forget the cinnamon roll at first. I went back to get it since it was a 1 minute walk from where we stayed and they were apologetic! Let me tell you, the cinnamon rolls are absolutely the best cinnamon rolls my wife and I have EVER had. Do yourself a favor and try the cinnamon roll!

Worst breakfast I ever had in Texas ! Eggs were uncooked, omelets were overpriced and terrible ! Very disappointed !

Excellent service, righteous pancakes and sausage. Son loved the cheese omelette and the toast . Good coffee. All at a good price.
Spacious, cheery and bright interior. Tin ceiling that appears to be the original. Great downtown location.
Highly recommended.

Love this dinner. we make several trips through this area a year and finally found our stop break. Everyone was so nice and the food hit the spot A+

I must admit the breakfast was not up to standards. The toast honestly tasted old, the sausage patties appeared to have been cooked, then cooked again or microwaved. The potatos we're scorched (burned). If asked, I would have to recommend Magoo's for breakfast.

Lovely little place to call and have breakfast. We were only in town for one night and the place made a perfect stop for breakfast before our journey down to Big Bend NP.
Food and service were great!

Excellent food. Friendly service and remarkably fast for the number of guests.
We had lunch there yesterday and decided to come back for breakfast today.

Outstanding.
Since 3 of the first 4 reviews listed were not very good we almost did not try it. However because of its convenience to the Holland Hotel where we stayed we decided to give it a shot.
We are so glad we did. The food was great, the service was outstanding and the prices were more than fair.
It is also in a cool old building with creaky wood floors and a metal ceiling.
It is a great place! We decided that those that could not be pleased must have been from California.
