Small family run local breakfast hangout. Didn't expext fast service in a laid back town like Alpine, so wasn't surprised at the slow service. I was, however, surprised at the fact that our food was cold. The biscuits and gravy were good, though the gravy was cold. Coffee was hot, though :)

Decent little breakfast place with home cooking.

Great breakfast and amazing homemade bread. I wanted to buy a loaf to take home but they had sold out. I highly recommend this breakfast spot. They have friendly staff and a nice small town homey atmosphere.

Very tasty breakfast. There's a variety of bakes goods, and the roast I had was homemade. The servers are very polite and sweet. Cozy atmosphere. It was a satisfying meal after camping in Big Bend.

The cinnamon roll is the best I’ve ever had. The rest of the food was also excellent; I had pancakes with bacon and eggs and my partner had toast and eggs with grits. The service was friendly and fast! I highly recommend!

I love her bread and the omelets are amazing. My kids pretty much adore the pancakes and it is our family birthday breakfast date place for several years now. Good service, good food, good lunch. Made from scratch, worth the wait.

Stopped in today on our way to Big Bend, we had stayed in Alpine overnight. Very nice looking place and the plates looked great. As we were being sat,we noticed that the waitresses weren't wearing masks at all. I asked our waitress if they were required to wear masks, she said "the mandate has expired". We left at that point. Wow, a restaurant that is listed as number one for breakfast on TA, which means a fair amount of people stop by there, and the waitresses dont wear masks.

Everything we ate here was delicious. Very warm and welcoming - phenomenal and friendly service. Such a nice spot to stop at as we make our way home from Big Bend.

Good food, quick service. They get really busy around 9 am. So go earlier if you can; wait times are generally not horrible.

Don't be fooled by the old reviews and photos. This place used to be much nicer. It's a dump now. There were flies everywhere, inside the pastry display counter, in the kitchen, at our tables, everywhere! There were only 4 other tables and it took 30+ min to get our two orders of eggs and toast. The food was definitely not worth the long wait. It was bland and stale. The cook was slow and had an attitude. Our waitress was okay.
