We’re on vacation and came in 6/19/22 just after 7pm. There were two workers- a girl, and a guy with curly hair. They were both so rude and made us feel bad for asking for sprinkles for our young kids. The guy had already gotten the first two scoops (we needed three kid’s scoops total), and seemed overly annoyed he had to walk over to the counter on the other side for those toppings. My chest felt tight knowing that we still needed one more with those toppings. After he made the first two, he stopped to spray (next to the ice cream for our kids he had just scooped), and wipe down the toppings counter while we just stood there. He finally turned around and came back over to get the rest of our order. We were trying really hard not to stress him out more so made it as simple as possible. My mom was behind us and right after she ordered, he yelled to the other worker to “lock the doors”. She didn’t hear him so he said it louder. The couple of people in line and us all kind of looked around uncomfortably because it was very clear he was over it and closing. My mom asked for a receipt when she got up to the counter and that was met with irritation also. The entire experience was awful. Then, knowing we couldn’t get back in, had to make sure the kids were very careful not to drop spoons or napkins as we wouldn’t be able to get anything else we may need. As we sat on the patio (which was filthy), and ate, at least 20 people tried to go in but doors were locked. People were looking at phones, commenting they didn’t close until 9 according to website, etc. One family was so mad because they said this was the second time they’ve tried to come recently and doors were locked when website said they were open. One family had two young kids and as they stood outside the door confused, the girl worker turned the open sign off. After reading other reviews, it seems this is common but the owner says they had to close early for school aged workers, etc. This is absolutely not what happened. First of all, it’s summer. Secondly, the staff is RUDE and closed because they were annoyed and made paying customers feel awful by yelling “lock the door” in front of everyone. Third, if during the school year, young kids are all you can get to work, then change your hours online because people look at them and then DRIVE THERE. This was clearly workers getting annoyed and deciding to close almost two hours early. Don’t waste your time trying to come here because chances are they’re closed anyway even when hours online say they’re open.

Mimi’s has been the highlight of my trip here in Nashville! The employees running the business are incredibly kind and patient and allow you to take your time when choosing an ice cream flavor. I one-hundred percent would recommend anyone and everyone to come to this ice cream parlor and have a sweet time :).

First and Last visit here. We're locals that visit Cracker Barrel often. The clerk served a family of four ahead of two individuals who had been waiting in line. When informed about it, clerk said "Give me a minute" and continued to take the family's order without correcting himself, or apologizing. Took my son Over twenty mins to get an Overpriced ice cream. You can keep it! We'll stick with Mimis ice cream!

I'm not sure who was behind the counter when these reviews were posted, but we did not have similar experiences at all. The hours online are incorrect, which led me to search elsewhere, but when I drive past it, it was open. So, we went on in. There was one worker there and she seemed like she was in purgatory and that her sentence was to scoop I cream; there was no greeting or upon entrance, no goodbye or thank you upon exiting. No background music to break up the awkward silence while waiting guest's starred around, trying not to be awkward and stare at each other. If there is only one employee, that employee should have some sense of hast about them, especially with a line forming. Advertised coffee shakes, but when I inquired, I also told that there was no cold coffee to make it with (that's the easiest thing to do, I would imagine). The all around experience was just sad feeling. They had around 12 flavored of hand scooped ice cream to choose from, so that's a bonus. One star for at least being open, McDonald's ice cream machine was broken, surprise, surprise.

The line wrapped all the way around the shop for the entire time we were there, but staff did a fantastic job of keeping things moving and providing great service, so nobody had to wait too long.

The ice cream was delicious and exactly what I wanted.

Take note: The shop may close earlier than posted on Google due to lack of supply or staffing needs (and if they regularly have a line like tonight, they probably do run out!). There's a sign posted on the shop door explaining this.
