Overall-good place, decent coffee, excellent food, high prices!

I looked at reviews of this place before checking it out. It's on the rear side of a large office complex building and it is surprisingly difficult to find a street parking spot. It's no fault of the cafe, but not something I would of expected in that area.

It's a nicely decorated and spacious coffee shop that also has food. The baristas were relatively friendly and I ordered a large latte which came in a small cup. When I asked if that was the large they said that that was the biggest size they do lattes in. Good to know...I don't recall if they charged different prices for the "large" or if there was just one latte price.

Anyways, we also ordered 2 breakfasts - one had an omelet and the other more of a standard southern American breakfast (bacon, grits, etc.) When it came time to pay the total came to over $50!! 2 breakfasts and 2 coffee drinks is how much?? It turns out that we were accidentally charged for extra meat, but it only took $6 off.

It came to my attention later that this cafe is connected with the hotel next door. Hence the prices! Duh!

The latte and espresso were decent, but nothing to write home about.

Then the food came out and looked great! Surprisingly artistic white plate presentation, light fluffy omelet, delicious grits, original and very tasty potatoes. Really delicious!! Only the salad was not quite up to the caliber of the rest of the food. Also, the waiter was very nice.

I'd recommend coming for the atmosphere and the food if you don't mind the prices.

In town for work and wanted to give a local spot a try over Starbucks. It's got a great vibe and is in a great location. However, the coffee isn't that great and the quick food/breakfast selection is minimal. Unfortunately I won't likely be back anytime soon. Was really hoping for something with a little more handcrafted/local flair rather than a mediocre $4.50 muffin.

I've only been here once, but everything looked delicious. I chatted with some people who had been there before and they confirmed that there was no bad choice.
I opted for a pastry and coffee and both were top notch. Staff was amazingly helpful.
You can get everything from a pastry and coffee to a meal and mixed drink here.
Will definitely be back.

Amazing Sunday brunch and live music!

Food and beverages are great, but they close at 3pm, which is just bizarre. The coffee shop is part of the Harpeth Hotel. Why on earth do you close? Maybe folks don't want to sit in the hotel bar and this coffee shop is perfect for a late lunch on the patio with a coffee or a glass of wine. Oh and at 3:00pm on the dot, they literally kick you out.

The place is nice, and the coffee is great. However, the food was not good at all. It smelled weird, and I was not able to eat it after a few bites.

This place has great atmosphere and super clean. However, the poor guy that made our drinks had no idea how to make them. It seemed like no one took the time to train him. We got mochas and the shots were not done properly, chocolate was not stirred into the espresso...such a disappointment for a new establishment. Proper training could turn this place around.

4 stars because the coffee was great and the vibe is super cool. The menu was a little too hipster for my personal taste. Hard to explain, but it just felt like it was trying just a little too hard to be 'hip Nashville.' I had the pork belly sandwich and it was okay. I would have preferred a killer BEC - but it seems like those are a dying breed, replaced by bougie pork belly lol. The crispy potatoes were really good, and the pastries looked good although I didn't try them.

I'll definitely be back!

It’s a vibe, a very good vibe.
If your looking to treat your self or friend and family… or if your looking to kinda get away from it all. OR BOTH. The food… the atmosphere… and the coffee.

Love this place! The space is very well designed. They have a lot of coffee and other drinks to choose from, even beer! The chai latte is delicious, and they also have almond and oat milk for the non dairy drinkers. Great location and excellent service.
