You know of Wall Drug way before you ever get to Wall Drug! They have about a thousand billboards scattered all over the highway which advertises all of the amenities, that they provide. So you are expecting a humongous place like Mall of America style in your mind. When you get there, it is much different than that. It is several stores built to look like the old west, tightly connected to each other, that runs up and down a street in Wall, SD. Everytime I walk through here it gives me Hill City or Keystone SD vibes. So you go in and you see that it is very much a tourist trap designed to take your money with millions of influential motif items. Every store sells basically the same thing that the store before it does. You want Wall T-Shirts, they got them! You want Cowboy hats, pants, boots, dusters, cowboy books with recipes of the wild west, or Indian hatchets or knives? You want Black Hills Gold Rings or Jewelry? They got them! So, you walk through them and see the same things over and over, rinse and repeat. I will say that there is some cool stuff I was able to find! I found an old Zoltar future telling machine like the one in the movie Big with Tom Hanks. I also saw a traveler's church inside the unique place and thought that was also interesting! Even the post office kind of has a western type feel to it but once inside it is just a regular post office. This place is fun for about an hour or two at most. Just make sure to beware of the diners, cafes, or saloons here in Wall Drug. The tourist traps don't only pertain to stores. The prices are inflated everywhere so pay attention. Good to see once in your life so you can say "Oh I have been there!" then go on with your day:) The experience to me, was just average at best. It does some things good, but for the most part between the prices and repetitiveness, of scenery, there are better ways to spend your afternoon!

Very cool. Major sensory overload. Don't bring your kids in unless you are planning on spending some money. Souvenir city!

I hate giving bad reviews, we were driving from our new address near Deadwood, back south, to our camper In Oklahoma we decided to stop at Wall Drug to check it out, we entered at the far left end working our way through the many shops, after buying way too much chocolate, going through the rock shop we came upon the Art Store I noticed some furs for sale, I saw the sign "Don't touch the Bison Pelt" I did not touch it! I was looking through the tails that were hung by rings I was definitely going to buy one but after following my wife through the shop I noticed a woman working there was giving us a really evil eye!!! (if looks could kill) I'm not sure what her problem was? But I definitely did not appreciate it, they Lost any further sales and we left looking for another place in WALL to buy souvenirs. If it was that I was looking at the price tags on the tails they should have a sign saying don't touch anything!!! Not the large Pelt! Or come up to me and be nice about it and let me know!!! I will not return to Wall Drug after this! And another place to buy the Huckleberry chocolate again when we return home. It was a long drive back to our camper not a pleasant experience here! As you can see I was actually there by my timeline photo.

A tiny town that has on its Main Street which is only about 1 long block, a drugstore that is more like a small theme park and I would recommend everybody pull off of interstate 90 and spend at least an hour or two. They have a cafeteria that serves very fast and great meals. I have been past this place hundreds of times and I have never stopped. So, this time I stop and I found a deep sense of regret having not stopped before especially when I was with kids. I was on my way for the first time to the Badlands National Park in South Dakota and I had no idea that the exit for that National Park was just a few miles from the walls drug store. So make time to visit both places.

For the RV community out there Wall has a gravel parking lot that you can overnight in an RV or Big rig. It is right next to the train tracks but only one came through around 8:30 PM. Nice and quite after that. I truly appreciate the area to sleep. They also give a free doughnut and coffee to Veterans! Well done Wall Drug!

Nice atmosphere even though it was busy. Very helpful servers, one handed me a menu while in line.

Orderly and friendly all around.
Good food, even though I thought a little pricey $38 for 2 sandwiches and 2 sodas.

We really enjoyed ourselves. Thanks for the hospitality.

After watching signs for four hours advertising Wall Drug, we had to stop. Wall is cute and it's worth a look. Wall Drug is also worth a stop, and their food is unique and fun. There is plenty of inventory to look through, which is great if you want something to remember your trip. Would go again.

Overall it was a cute little experience. It has a lot of little shops and a small chapel. The cafe is really nice and there’s a lot of historical information around the entire area of some cute areas for kids. If you’re passing by it’s a fun little stop.

This was such a fun stop for my kids. So many stops along the highway saying “do not miss” so DO NOT MISS WALL DRUG! 🤣🙈

It’s such a charming place, definitely takes you way back. It’s worth the 1 hour you’ll loose exploring and chasing kiddos.

We got some fun toys, snacks, saw some cool new things and off we went!

A visit to the historic Wall Drug is very interesting and at times entertaining. You wander through a maze-like collection of shops and displays. Each 'shop' sells unique and local items you would expect to find on the Great Plains of South Dakota. Prices are high. Also, if you purchase a drink in the café (which is inside) don't take it into the shops, they will stop you and not appreciate your presence with a beverage.
