Great aesthetics and heavenly service. 10/10 coffee shop, I'll be back here someday

I’ve never heard of such a poorly ran place in my life. Due to the management I think this place could be in an episode of Gordon Ramsay’s kitchen nightmares. The owner is unprofessional and completely rude and inconsiderate to the barista’s working there is very irrational and hotheaded when a minor inconvenience pops up in the workplace. He makes the employees stayed clocked in hours after they should be off because they’re paid “under the table”. Don’t support this place because it’s just really sad how it’s being managed by Tyke...or Jesse?

*I do not appreciate you (Tyke Mohr, owner of Java Joint) going onto my business facebook page and claiming that you know someone I treated and that you do not recommend me. Additionally you did a bunch of negative reactions (photos below) to various posts I made all because I posted my honest experience of your location. This is online harrasment. I think you have a great mission and a potential to do great but do not attack or bully me because I left a google review for your place of business.
Okay I so w ant to give a higher review but I just can't. I really think though with some elbow grease and slight changes this would pop right up. On the inside it is very cool. It looks like 90's grunge which is lovely. However, the place needs a really good clean throughout the entire space. As for the front door we actually thought we were entering through the back or that the place was closed because there was a pile of garbage that was about knee high right in front of the door that we had to move out of the way. We ordered 3 different paninis and they were all flavorful but it didn't appear that the food was being stored properly and all the containers were left open as the food was prepped. There were several unmasked folks in the place who kept going to retrieve forks and napkins that kept coughing by the food. Finally we ordered 2 milk shakes and I would describe them as slighly thicker than a glass of skim milk. All our toppings floated to the bottom :(. I so wanted to love this place. But like I said with a few changes I know I would've felt much more comfortable in the space.

Great place , owner treats you like a friend from the moment you walk in.
Today was a big one get one free.
We just had to try chocolate milk shakes and daughter had a coffee.
All was wonderful, will be back again soon.

Java Joint is a wonderful place to go to be alone or with a group of friends. The atmosphere is super chill and Tyke (the owner) is one of the most inspirational people in Lead. Go and enjoy, you won't be able to help it!

Amazing experience! We came for the ice cream, but found the atmosphere and games to be a great bonus. Fantastic customer service!

A very cool and funky place for coffee. They have milkshakes and different types of sandwiches. I didn't try those but the espresso was worthy.

Fun little hang out. Clean, friendly, welcoming. Go get a milkshake, sit and play cards or a board game. Play a guitar, shop for locally made jewelry. It's a hidden gem.

Chillest place in Lead! Has a great relaxing Seattle style vibe with local artist, crafts, oils, and amazing coffee and milkshakes. Could spend hours just hanging out here, or pop in and out with something togo.

Cool little place with dope quesadillas. If you like a fresh cheesy quesadilla at an amazing price. Check this place out. I will be back and i will be trying to send them business. Great local place and great value for money, thats for sure!
