We saw this place on Google, and decided to stop in for an afternoon pick-me-up while camping. We are so glad we did! This place is a hidden gem! The atmosphere is laid back, but fun. Awesome story on the decorations of Java Joint, and the reggae music was a bonus. The milkshakes were to die for! Our son had a s'mores. Our daughter a raspberry. My husband got a jalapeño chocolate with espresso, and I had a butterfinger with espresso. It was so good that we will be stopping back before heading home, and it is now a "must do" on our annual Black Hills camping trip!

Good, chill atmosphere. Lots of games to invite hanging out. We thought we stopped for coffee to go the stayed for a while!

Funky cool space but don’t order the espresso. The extremely young person helping us didn’t seem to understand our order and just gave us drip coffee. Also — they don’t start serving food until 11:00am 👎🏼

We discovered it by asking Google for a coffee shop in Lead. What a terrific surprise! Totally my idea if a great coffee place - homey and classy.

Owner is personable and friendly. Yummy espresso malt! And there are sandwiches, paninis, quesadillas and nachos!

This is definitely going to be a favorite stop for us this summer in the Black Hills!

LOVED the atmosphere. It was very relaxed with friendly staff, had plenty of local art for sale, boasted chess and old games, and had free books to boot. There were so many flavoring choices for the coffee, and I can honestly say that my latte was the best I've had on our vacation through the Black Hills (and we've had plenty of coffee)!

I have been a regular customer for a few years now. never had an issue. place is always clean. The owner and baristas are super sweet and make me feel right at home! the food is spectacular, and the drinks are incredible with endless amounts of toppings. Its a great family friendly place and definitely a must stop shop when visiting the Hills!

Stopped in for a coffee on a climbing rest day and ended up hanging around for the whole day. Super cool atmosphere, very friendly employees, fast WiFi, great food and drinks, and extremely reasonable prices. Definitely stop by this place if you’re in lead!

This place is an amazing! So welcoming & comfortable you don't want to leave! Tyke, the owner, is such a hard working young man who has created an environment that is free of drugs, alcohol & drama! A great place for everyone including my grandkids who love going there.

Fantastic place! Owner is stellar and super personal. Ice cream was amazing and the inside is a unique environment we won’t forget. Best pup cups in Sound Dakota ❤️.

We love this place! Tyke always has a smile and positive attitude. During the height of COVID, he helped us out by delivering a special treat for our girls(who were disappointed that we couldn’t go anywhere.) Tyke’s place is where we love to go to chill out and play games, while enjoying tasty snacks! Very budget friendly, too!! I love that I can give my daughters a special treat even when money is tight! Thanks Tyke! You’re an asset to this community’
