I’m so disappointed at the fact I have to give you guys 2 stars. First time at your restaurant and was very excited to have lunch here after reading the reviews. I ordered the shrimp entree with mashed rutabaga and and brown rice. After waiting maybe 5 mins or so they said they were out of shrimp and if I wanted the salmon. Was a little disappointed but I said sure. Unfortunately it would be almost 30 minutes before I received the salmon. After waiting all that time I went inside to see how much longer. After About 3 more mins of waiting I finally received my order. It smelled nice and look amazing but when I tasted it.... I was shocked! There was no flavor to anything!!!! The whole meal desperately needed seasoning. It was bland and the rice was a little mushy for my taste.all in all I was very dissatisfied with my food. I wanna give you guys another chance because I love the atmosphere I saw but we shall see don’t know if I wanna waste another $20 on bland food

Showed up for the first time on a Friday a little before noon. Place was closed with a lockbox. No posting or information. Assume closed permanently.

Can a dish be life-changing? I honestly think so. The Teriyaki Bowl with sauteed kale, cabbage, peppers, thinly sliced zucchini and mushrooms was one of the most interesting and delicious dishes I've ever had. Completely different from what you'd expect when you see "teriyaki bowl" on a menu with a light, almost brothy sauce. I've gone here twice in two days and am already thinking about going again tomorrow. Delicious, fresh, healthy food. Wonderful service staff. Absolutely perfect iced tea. 11/10 highly recommend.

I don't go here for the dietary accommodations, I go because the food is amazing. Don't think because this place has vegan, gluten-free, healthy food that the reviews are good just because it is accommodating - it has 5 stars because the food is excellent, high quality, flavorful for anyone and by any standards. Awesome local cafe.

It's such a cute little place in West Ashley. Wish we lived closer but we moved out to Moncks Corner. Whenever we're back out that way, we'll definitely be visiting again. The food was phenomenal and the staff is incredibly friendly. They are also very accommodating to vegans like my husband and I. Knowledgeable about it and accommodating. We had their breakfast burrito and we were able to replace the egg with tofu. The burrito was huge and stuffed full, I could only eat half and had to take the other half home with me. If you're in the area, please check them out. Totally worth it!

I love Gathering Cafe! One of very few healthy spots with plentiful vegan and GF options. Menu has a wide variety and the staff is friendly people. My go-to is the curry, but other things I have tried have been delish as well. Support local!

Stopped here for a quick, healthy lunch and that's exactly what I got! The ambiance is cute, they were playing classics like Ella Fitzgerald and Tony Bennett. I got the turkey wrap and it was filling but not "overkill". They pair it with a side salad that had yummy homemade Vinaigrette. The fig spread really brought the whole wrap together! So nice to see a place change up the usual "cranberry" when serving turkey.

I would honestly give this place 4 or 5 stars if the service wasn't so bad. The first time I went here it was with my small group (about 5 of us) and it was in the morning around 930. There was one person working there that I could see, and she seemed very scrambled and rushed. There were not that many customers in the restaurant. When we finally ordered, they were out of multiple things. At 930am on a Saturday. When we got our food, it was outstanding and the presentation was wonderful. That being said, I decided to give this place another try. I went back with a couple friends last Sunday around noon. There were 2 people that I saw staffed (one of them being the same one from last time) and they had a decent amount of people there, but about 4 tables were open (a couple still dirty). I came in and one of the staff walked passed me standing in the doorway 3 times before telling me hello and saying it would be a bit before she got to me. No smile, no apology for not welcoming me, nothing. When my friends got there, we saw that an open table was outside that was clean, and we did not see anyone else waiting. I went up to the bar to ask the other girl if we would sit outside, and she said sure but it's still going to be at least 15 minutes before we get waited on. We walked right out. I won't give this place another chance or recommend it to anyone, and it's a shame because the food was great the first time I went.

I have been to this location two days in a row and I have to say, both experiences were enjoyable. You walk inside and select your own place to sit. The waiter or waitress comes and "set" the table while taking your drink orders. Straws are located in the center of the tables. They have breakfast and dinner options. I don't exactly remember when breakfast ends but its somewhere between 1pm and 3pm. Bowls are 12.25 (I tried their pagnang curry on both visits, one with chicken, one without, its very spicy). They have protein options (shrimp, chicken, salmon, and tofu) please note that protein options are an extra cost in top of your meal. Some side options are brown rice, macaroni, broccoli but they have more side options. Food options are vegan and gluten free but you have to look at the colored "v" or "g" next to the food item. The atmosphere is homey and there's no pressure to get you in and out, unlike other restaurants. The only downside I would like to note is that drinks aren't refilled frequently, so you run empty pretty quickly and the wait to place your order can be long as there is only one employee taking orders. Give this place a solid try with and without the protein!

I love their roasted beets, the chef knows how to make them sing with flavor. Greens and black-eyed peas were fabulous. Roasted taters terrific. Go support this warm and friendly Cafe, your tummy will be very happy.
