The Olde Schoolhouse

Nearly raw bacon, the whites of our eggs were runny, rude server. We sat waiting for our check for a long time, while our server passed us multiple times. McDonald's could have served a better breakfast. Won't be back.

Waited an hour and 45 minutes
Took forever to get drinks, order coffee only got one cup and it took them and hour. My husband ended up walking down to the gas station to get coffee before the first cup of coffee was even brought to us. Waitress came over to out table after us already being there for the hour and 45minutes to tell us it was going to be another 30 minutes till we got our food. We ended up just leaving. This establishment should not be taking doordash orders it way to small of a place and they were prioritizing those orders over the customers sitting at the establishment.

I met a friend there a few weeks ago for breakfast. She ordered French toast and I ordered the waffle fries with sausage eggs and bacon.
It took a very long time… and when it arrived it was cold. Our waitress never checked on us so we ate some… when she finally reappeared and asked how things were… my friend told her our food was cold.. she laughed.. very inappropriate!
My friend said it wasn’t funny.
She and I both waitressed and I am a big tipper… even bigger with Covid… well neither of us left a tip… I think that is the second time in my 62 years I haven’t tipped.
Very sad to write this… and I know it’s hard to find good staff… she was terrible👿

Waited an hour and ten minutes only to have to take my meal to go, as we were headed to an appointment. We showed up over an hour early to enjoy breakfast on the way. We literally had to get our food to go because we sat there and waited so long. On top of taking the food to go, we paid $37 for two meals, and once we were able to open our take out boxes to eat the food, our orders were wrong!!! As a local, there aren’t many breakfast places to eat in Beaufort, but any other place that you can find will be better than this one. KEEP LOOKING!

Love breakfast at this place! Nothing fancy, but it's definitely the best little breakfast spot in the immediate area. Cleaner, less ghetto and with much better food than Waffle House, while still being very affordable. Consistently friendly, attentive service. Food is consistently served hot and fast after placing your order. What more can one ask for in a small, local breakfast joint? We will definitely continue coming back and will bring our family and friends here, too. Bravo!

I visited shortly after they opened in Port Royal. I think it had been at least a few months, but I guess they were still trying to get the kinks out. Food was ok, but not great. Overall experience wasn't terrible so I gave it another try. Second visit was ridiculous. Waited WAY too long for a table and the girl kept offering us high tops to sit at with our baby in a high chair. Figure it out. All that time waiting just to get horrible service. It was so awful that other servers noticed. Pretty sure our server left the premises entirely at one point. Our orders were wrong, but we had waited so incredibly long for our food that there was no way we were sending anything back and waiting even longer. I won't suffer through another meal here to give them the benefit of three strikes before they're out.

Not local but drove into town for breakfast. Upon entering asked if there was patio seating. Hostess/Cashier: *Big sigh* "I guess I could come out there..." Hey, if I'm such an inconvenience to your day then maybe not put up an open sign. I went across the the parking lot to the Corner Perk. They were EXTREMELY hospitable with good food and coffee. If given the choice just go another 40 feet for better atmosphere.

Very disappointed in my order. Nothing like photos. Regular bread instead of sub bun. Regular fries. Not waffle. Very small chef salad for price. No salad dressing. Although delivery through door dash was wonderful. I spent 48 for this meal and very disappointed.

The people are very friendly and nice. Unfortunately the food isn't very good. The grits are flavorless even with a glob of cheese added. The pancakes were flat and rubbery. That's usually because it was yesterday's batter and cold. Just make a batch of new batter. Ham is lunch meat ham thrown on the flat top. Ugh. Really? Be better than Oscar Meyer. Expect better from yourselves. They are the only breakfast place there and need competition.

The food is good, but every time I've eaten here the food took about an hour to come out and was cold. The service staff seemed more interested in their phones than waiting on tables or communicating effectively. Nice place with a great surrounding atmosphere, but not worth all the trouble when there are other places around town to have a great breakfast and experience.
