Way overpriced. 11.50 for a small cheese steak seemed a little high. I ordered the weekly special "sausage dog." what i received was a regular hotdog with relish and mustard.....for $6.50. The place is nice and the service was good just too expensive for the type of restaurant it is....

One of the best breakfast places in Beaufort. Enormous helpings and delicious. They will custom make anything for you. Very friendly and helpful.

We had a nice lunch here. The server was very friendly and helpful. We all ordered different sandwiches, tuna salad, blt, egg salad and fried bologna. The portions were generous, lettuce fresh, and fillings were very tasty. I also loved my waffle fries-hot and crispy. Will go back again when in the area!

Was excited to try the Old Schoolhouse as had heard some good things. Unfortunately it did not meet expectations. Coffee was very weak and egg breakfasts were lukewarm at best. Place was fairly busy and thus we did not see our server to discuss. Perhaps just an off day. Will try again down the road.

Me, my son, girlfriend, and gfs mom visiting some friends in SC stopped in for breakfast. Service was very welcoming and enjoyable. Food came in a very decent amount of time especially with a 14 month old. Waitress was amazing taking care of people dining inside and outside and still having the ability welcoming customers just entering. The food was more then plenty with reasonable prices. The best part for me was the sweet tea. It was the perfect taste of Southern Sweet Tea ive had. Was going to ask what the waitress does to make it but ran short of time. So if anyone stops in and enjoys sweet tea as much as i do. Please ask how they make their sweet tea for me would love to know.

We approached the kitchen and they told us to find any table, no problem, they did seem quite busy. All tables were messy, and we had to go outside so I cleaned it up as we patiently waited. A waitress, cleaned 70% of the table with a rag and walked off. A couple who came in after us - got their drinks. We waited. A waitress came by, ignored us, but had time to talk to the table next to us about how beautiful the area is and we got to hear the life story of said family. We flagged the waitress down. She ignored us. Finally, another waitress walked by us - and took another tables order. We are yet to even get drinks. Meh, we stood up calmly and left. We walked on the local beach instead. Then we went to a restaurant who knows how to handle heavy crowds. I understand their frustration, just communicate - we will wait a long time, but don't ignore us, but that's OK - we will now ignore your establishment, permanently :)

Beat breakfast in town. The fries, eggs, bacon, cheese, and sausage gravy is the best item on the menu hands down. We will be stopping on our way home.

My wife and I went for breakfast at this diner and as we walked in no one greeted us or even acknowledged we had walked through the door. Taking into consideration that it seemed as if they might be busy we searched for a table. We located one at the front of the diner, directly in front of the cashier that was standing at the register, so we walked up to that table. The table wasn't clean but a bottle of cleaner and a rag was on the table so my wife proceeded to clean the table. When she finished we were finally acknowledged as the cashier advised my wife that now that she had cleaned the table she could place the cleaner and rag on the counter beside the register. The cleaner set in that same spot the entire time we were in the restaurant even with people having to reach around and over it to pay their checks. After sitting for almost 17 mins, I remember this because I had just looked at my watch and commented that we still haven't had anyone take a drink order or offer a menu. The cashier walked around the counter to ask what we wanted to drink. We both chose coffee because that was fast and easy. It took 12 minutes for us to finally receive our coffee but still no menu. They did have a chalkboard with their breakfast specials so after about another 10 minutes the cashier finally asked what we wanted to order. One of the specials was a country fried steak breakfast so I asked her what came on the plate. She said eggs toast and some kind of meat she thinks. That worried me so to make it very simple we both just ordered a biscuit and gravy. It took over half an hour for that to come out to us and when it did it was cold. We both took a bite and my wife had enough so she voiced her opinion and walked out. I got the check and started to pay. Assuming that after what my wife said. The cashier seeing that neither meal had been eat that she would at least comp the check, if even a little. Nope I paid 22.00 for two cups of bad coffee, and the worst dining experience in my life. I gave them one star because at least neither of us died or got sick from the bite of food we did consume. Stay away from this place. It should honestly close the doors.
