Manuel's Bread Cafe

We had sandwiches and iced tea. They were awesome, the service was great and so nice to have outdoor seating as in Europe. We enjoyed it so much.

We started off with the smoked salmon platter, capers and a bagel with cream cheese and Dill mixed together which was very good. We also ordered a couple of bowls of French onion soup which were also very good. Our entrees consisted of pheasant which my two companions said we're very good and I had the breadcrumb encrusted flounder which had a slight sweetness to it and was excellent. We finished up with some coffee, which was old and cold - not good, and a chocolate chip cheesecake which was very rich and sweet and the other cheesecake was a Butterfinger which was quite a bit lighter and less sweet than the chocolate chip. Both of them were very rich. We also drink a couple of bottles of the least expensive Merlot which was more than adequate for our simple tastes. Throw in some great conversations and a few hours later we left feeling very satisfied and new that we had had a great time. I would most definitely return once the piggy bank fills back up. 😂

Highly overrated. You want to feel like a second class citizen, this is the place to go.
All the tables were empty and still the lady at the front desk for a reservation.
She said if you don’t have a reservation you have to sit outside.
We were sitting outside for 30 mins and. Still did not get someone to take orders.
Finally we got someone to take the order and took 1/2 order and left in between the order to ask the cooking crew for something and never got back.
Asked 3 times to 3 different people to get the heater turned on.
We walked out.
I am sure its a good place but it wont get our business .

I love Manuel's! The food is amazing and always fresh and the service is always top notch!

This was my first time eating here. My first attempt was a very long wait, so we left and ate somewhere else. Finally got a seat outside and we were greeted by our waiter, then it went down hill. He took our drink order and we ordered appetizers. I think he forgot, because we received our drinks right before the appetizers arrived. We place our order and 2 tables that were seated after us got there food before we did.one of the tables 6 or 7 guests seated. We finally got our food and our glasses were empty, but we never got a refill. I ordered a gyro and my friends ordered burgers. I finished my meal before they received condiments for their burger and fries. We finally got refills and our waiter poured our coke in our glasses with what is now melted ice. We didn't leave a tip and that was very intentional. I hope this guy got the message.

My favorite dining spot in the local area. As always excellent meal and great service.

Brunched this Sunday with my girls. Had a ball. Our server was so sweet..."the little one" 😀 I had the scrambled eggs with goat cheese followed by walnut rum glazed bundt cake. ALL delish!

I've been going to Manuel's for years since it's been in the Augusta / North Augusta area but had an experience that will prevent me from ever eating there again. This past weekend, we had called, set up, and confirmed a reservation for Mother's Day Brunch. We arrive to the restaurant to find out that the lady we had spoken to on the phone had neglected to write down / input our reservation and thus we we did not have a table. This was absolutely ridiculous, but what was more frustrating was that the hostess on Sunday refused to even attempt to accommodate / fit in our family for brunch / make it right, after the restaurant had blundered our reservation for the day. We even offered to split up into two tables. There was no apology given, and the hostess complained to me that my family was "not pleasant on the phone." This is a prime example of how not to provide good customer care. If Manuel's blunders your meal or reservation in the future, don't expect them to even attempt to make it right. 0/5.

One of my favorite local places to go! A must try. Sunday brunch is awesome too!
