I purposely walk a few extra blocks to skip Starbucks to come to Redhawk. Not just because it's local but because the staff is genuinely kind and efficient and they have things that I can't get anywhere else (Leona's Ice Cream!!!). You MUST try the Golden Milk. It was best described to me by the barista as similar to a Chai tea but earthier and kind of spicy. I was a devoted latte drinker until I decided to try one of these and now I crave them. You have the option to throw some espresso in there, which I've tried, but honestly I prefer it without. The place is always packed which is to be expected considering how great it is, so don't expect to be able to always find a seat. However, if there IS a chair or window seat space available don't be afraid to ask someone to share their table...the place's kindness extends to it's patrons!

Adorable spot. Great music was playing and the barista was super nice.

I cannot wait for Redhawk to reopen. I love lattes, and this place has the best. Not a lot of room to hang out, but there employees are always friendly and informative. My favorite coffee in Pittsburgh. 🖤💛

Great place for a delicious coffee. Barista is friendly and knows what he's doing.
There's like 10 seats in the place so it's likely you wont be able to sit down to enjoy it (just get it to go!).

He let us in even when the shop was closed for the holiday weekend. The americano, latte, lemon poppyseed bread, and oatmeal cream pie were delicious. Thank you for making this pandemic birthday a little more memorable! Can't wait until we can get over and check out the newer shop in Sharpsburg. Thanks again - you guys are great.

It is my favorite cafe of all time. Their coffee is unmatched. The owner is super friendly as well. I'll definitely miss this place a lot after I move out Pittsburgh.

This small shop is everything an independent coffee shop should be! Impeccable espresso and aeropress, and they serve cold brew and batch brew as well, with the plan of starting pour overs (kalita most likely) soon. If you're used to going to Starbucks please give this place a try-- easily cheaper than Starbucks, much better quality, and Branden is friendly and will be happy to give you a recommendation if you're new to the specialty coffee world. The shop has multiple roasters (including heavy hitters like Commonplace, Four Barrel, and Passeneger) and you could go in every day of the week and try a different coffee or espresso, which is a huge plus and pretty unique in the coffee world.

The coffee is great, the staff is amazing and helpful. Just the right coffee shop vibe with a great outdoor seating set-up. Visit every morning on the way to work.

I love the coffee but the place is too small!! Other than that, it’s so cute and colorful. Really good coffee if you’re in the Oakland area.

Hands down the best coffee in Oakland. Awesome baristas who will remember you and the coffee is delicious and reasonably priced. If you want a treat, grab an oatmeal cream pie!
