Small independent Cafe. Good study spot. If you are driving parking could be very difficult. One of the best cappuccino's in Pittsburgh.
Attentive and very friendly staff. Could be crowded at times, but it's worth it.

Great little place in Oakland. Coffee was excellent, and the service and ambience were both perfect. Will definitely be going again sometime.

The barista there when I visited was awesome. Friendly and took the time to answer the questions I had. Oh and the espresso was very good

Great espresso drinks, kind staff, comfortable and minimalist open space. No restroom or wifi. Mostly glass-windowed front allows for natural lighting, and table seating allows for comfortable journaling or reading.

Update: gave them another try two months later; still getting VERY under-extracted espresso. Will not return.

I experienced consistently under-extracted espresso from the baristas here. At first I thought it was a fluke, and staff were friendly and kind enough to re-make the drink. It was somewhat better the second time, but still under-extracted (i.e. very sour, blonde, and lacking complexity).

Milk foaming is inconsistent (see large air bubbles in photo), but that's nothing compared to the extraction issues.

Roast quality of the beans is generally above average; beans are relatively light roast. They don't offer soy milk, only almond and oat, which is a bummer.

The atmosphere is pretty cozy, with a good deal of natural light, but there's limited seating.

I cannot recommend this coffeeshop until they do more careful barista training/supervision regarding espresso extraction. I suspect they are not using good portafilter distribution technique, but it could also be a too-coarse grind or very uneven tamping.

This is a cozy coffee shop serving excellent espresso from a rotating selection of 3rd wave coffee roasters. Small section of seating, and a limited selection of pastries, which is fine because this place puts the coffee first, and it shows! Definitely worth the trip if you are looking for good coffee in Pittsburgh.

Great local coffee shop option in Oakland. Really amazing coffee, worth spending a bit extra not only for an amazing cup of coffee but to support a local business. Baristas are really friendly and fun people. Grab a coffee for now and a bag of beans to brew at home.

A small selection of high quality coffee. Very accommodating and friendly.

Great little coffee shop. This is exactly why I don’t get coffee from Starbucks anymore. These little shops like this deserve our business and customer service is better and the product is outstanding.

Absolutely phenomenal coffee, the space was recently renovated and looks amazing. I'm a student nearby and come by often. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because early in the morning they blast hard rock and metal music really loudly, so it's not the best cafe environment. But the coffee is great definitely go there!
