Very cute coffee shop tucked away in the Maplewood neighborhood. The drinks and pastries that they serve here are very good, especially since they serve Stumptown. Parking is a little precarious here as it is all street parking, but that just means you and your friends should carpool here to spend more time together!

great old building, decent drinks with epic pastries altho pricy including gluten free. kid friendly, groups, events, consistently noisy, not a good place to work: no sound absorption, teenagers throwing toys around like its their house, kids watching movies on speaker. I would close off the back room for quiet work space

Coffee, pastries, food from scratch, beer and wine - it doesn't get any better than this! Maplewood Coffee and Tea is a wonderful community coffee house that is truly a neighborhood gem. In addition to the delicious calories, they also host community events like family bingo, knitting night, and movies. Also available as a rental space.

Sweetest little neighborhood cafe. Excellent coffee and snacks. Very friendly and thoughtful staff. Best secret: there are a few chairs around back in the garden where they grow their own veggies!

One of my favorite things about this place is certainly the atmosphere and location. It's not the most comfortable place to study (at least at the tiny table I was sitting at) but the coffee is good. I would go here again for the location/atmosphere and coffee, but the staff was a little rude (although sadly this seems to be the case for many local hipster Portland coffee shops) I will return probably, and they deserve more attention!

No WIFI -- it would be really nice if they could at least put a sign on the door indicating that because we waited in line for 35 minutes to order food for dine-in before taking a seat to study, then found out there was no wifi...good food though.

It's a pretty neighborhood-y sort of place. Thoughtful food, nice coffee, good vibe. It's not an internet cafe, study hall or library. People hang out here to eat and chat and relax and have fun. The staff is super nice and smart. Nicely done, guys. It was a pleasure!

Great hidden gem. Best coffee shop in the area (I live and work around here). Don't know how this fell off my radar but will absolutely be back. Good food, great coffee and adult beverage selection and a fun young staff.

Just visited this place with my sister. A very large building with lots of seating, but we took ours to go. Was hoping for a high quality caffeinated beverage. We stood by the register for a while before being offered service, even though the barista was right there she didn't even make eye contact. I ordered the matcha latte w/ almond milk... It tasted like watery almond milk with a sprinkle of matcha powder :(
My sister's iced latte w/ oat milk was delicious! Wish I got that instead.
