Nice cute coffee shop serving small bites, in a quiet neighborhood.

This cozy coffeehouse feels like a second home you can share with your neighbors. I love the excellent coffee drinks, teas and home-baked goodies. The brunch bowl is my favorite: savory, healthy and sustaining. If I'm feeling a little French, coffee and a croissant.

Lunch is also delicious. There are a few well-chosen beer taps and wine to help an afternoon with friends melt away.

It is well worth seeking out this hidden gem if you are in Southwest Portland and have the leisure to enjoy it.

Perfect coffee shop! I had a pleasant breakfast and an excellent latte here. Plenty of room, comfortable and beautiful in a nice neighborhood. They turn off wifi during weekend brunch time to encourage people to talk to each other; I've never seen that before!

This is a quaint little coffee shop tucked into a beautiful neighborhood. So slow down, take in the scenery and grab a coffee here at Maplewood. Truly I should have went with their bee's knees choice of a sweet treat drink. But I went opposite and got a hot chocolate so it didn't live up to what I wanted. But the space is big and cozy all the same. There was plenty of places to sit and have different conversations. We had a business meeting and our area and view was great. I definitely would come here often. The food looks great but it's a bit far from me. So when I'm in the neighborhood Maplewood wins my choice.

Highly recommend. The building was formerly a house, so it has a cozy, homey feeling. There is lots of seating. Kid/family friendly, with high chairs available. We tried an apple tart and croissant, which were excellent. You can order breakfast at the counter, and they bring it to your table. They had a wide selection of teas, and also serve alcohol. Parking nearby is somewhat limited.

The good - Great atmosphere and aesethic. Thoughtfully and ethically curated food and menu inclusive to all needs. Great ingredients, higher prices for the quality.
So much so, this cafe was word of mouth. I drove over half an hour to scope it out. Hole in the wall coffee shops are my thing. I arrived 2.25 hours before it was to close, 2:45pm. Grabbed my laptop and set out to do work in a beautiful space. Ended up a dissatisfied.

The bad - customer service. Inconsiderate, impatient, and rude.

I have been in the food service industry for over a decade. This is my first time leaving a negative review. I understand it is not an easy job, and dealing with the public can be exhausting.

I bought a brunch bowl, a coffee, and a vegan pastry the tip came to over $25. That's okay. I like to think I spend money wisely towards good business.

They ran out of water. I got up to ask for more. They told me to go to the other water station. I mentioned it was out as well. They shrugged their shoulders and continued to chat in the kitchen.

Then they came up to me after I switched seats (battery was dying, needed to be by an outlet). A server came up to me and told me they would be closing an hour earlier than normal. The cafe had over a dozen people in it.

Wasted my time making such a trek and spending money.

I did not feel welcomed or accepted.
There are many coffee shops with great food. Only go to this one if it is your neighborhood. It is a beautiful space, but shoddy service.

Great neighborhood coffee shop. Friendly staff, good coffee, and beer on tap. Nice quiet place to study, and if your dietary restrictions are so harsh that you can only eat gluten-free sustainably caught unbleached free range organic hedge trimmings , you can probably still find something to eat here.

Little known fact: this place has an amazing secret back room that is fantastic for little kids. There are toys and books, and it since it's separated from the store front, you don't have to worry about disturbing other customers. They even rent it out for parties, and it's a great deal!

Love this place. Location is amazing, nestled in a quiet neighborhood. Met a girlfriend hey for a quick bite and catch-up. I got the thyme biscuit with honey and kombucha. Both very very delicious! You order and pay up front. Parking is tough and had to park a little bit aways but didn't mind walking through beautiful area.

Sweet and charming coffee shop minutes from my home. I love it here and bring as many friends as possible! Rose bushes in the garden, lots of small and large tables to choose from, larger room and smaller cozy rooms overlooking the garden, this place is a gem! Every neighborhood should have a place like this!

Love love love this magical neighborhood gem. So happy to have stumbled upon it on a walk. They have the best nibbles and coffee! We love you!
