A great spot with good food and a solid mocha.

Parking was insane but this place is a hidden gem aside from that. It's basically all the rooms of the ground floor of a really big house converted to a nice cafe. It's the opposite of an open floor plan, so all the nooks and divisions keep most of the place fairly quiet when it's packed.

This is THE ideal coffee shop/cafe! Tucked into a beautiful neighborhood near Multnomah Village and I-5, but without the bustle or feel of those. Gorgeous garden in back, located in a pretty, Victorian style old house. The baristas are super friendly and make great coffee and tea! I haven’t tried a lot of the food yet but the avocado toast and baked goods were delicious. Definitely a hidden gem - highly recommend checking this out! They also have live music and trivia/bingo nights on different evenings throughout the month. You won’t be disappointed!

Their website states “great service” among other great things they do, but on this day they didn’t deliver. Making a customer wait while it seemed one of the owners talked business with another person blocking the register and not acknowledging me—a paying customer—waiting to be served. While I like to support neighborhood businesses, it will be a while before I venture back in to spend my money.

Quaint and quiet neighborhood cafe. Pretty dreamy given the location. Yummy food and they make a great matcha latte!

Great little neighborhood coffee shop right in Maplewood. I live just down the street and it makes a great place to walk to with the kids. The wife loves the coffee, and I like the hot chocolate. They have lots of pastries, including gluten-free.
Maplewood Coffee & Tea returns this old building to a commercial use. It originally was the general store for the neighborhood back when the Oregon Electric Railway had a stop at this location.

Nice little coffee shop and they have a good selection of food as well. Good non hurried atmosphere. They charged a bit too much for added alternative milks, shouldn't tax people just cuz they can't process dairy. I'll definitely be returning in the near future, just stick to the black coffee 😉

This neighborhood coffee and tea place is my favorite writing spot in Portland so far. I love the trees and out-of-the-way location, the staff is always friendly, and they have a great selection of beverages. I'm also a huge fan of the quiche, which is the lightest, silkiest quiche I've ever had.

Nice place, cozy and cute. However, my espresso sat on the counter for quite a period of time before they called it out and it had spoiled by then. Perhaps they were just busy, but being knowledgeable about espresso is pretty important.
