Everything was fine, but not exceptional; pretty basic menu. Nice outdoor seating area. There's no table service. If I put all that into a formula, I'm not sure how I'd end up with prices that are about 25% higher than my competition.

The Ricky Bobby with fried chicken, toast, gravy, cheese, and eggs was phenomenal. The S.E.S.H. bowl with eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, white rice, black beans, shredded cheese, and hot sauce was also delicious. The coffee was pretty good. They serve Stumptown coffee. Up to date menu is on their website.
A tad pricey though. Toast and jam for $5 plus tax and tip? $50 for a breakfast bowl, Ricky Bobby, black coffee, and latte? Added 2% surcharge for checks over $10? Hmmm....
The practical: Two restrooms, both seemed clean. Enough seating for smal and medium sized groups, both indoors and outdoors. Shaded and enclosed outdoor seating. There is a fire pit outside, but it wasn't on in the morning (maybe lit only for dinner service?). Self service water, cutlery, napkins station. Bus your own table.
Vibe: You can view a sliver of the river from inside. It's a small, chill/hip, local bar and grill. Local gems like the large wood table cut from a tree from the same neighborhood.
There were NO donuts, pastries, or pastry cases of any kind. But there is a fridge with coffees, beers, and ciders that you can take to go.

Took quite a while to even acknowledge me after being sat at the bar, but the food was pretty tasty and service was just fine after the initial 5 minutes or so. Note: current menu posted online is not the current menu they're serving (no crab roll). I should have taken a photo. Had some bomb chili cheese fries though!

Came here twice in 18h. Was recommended by a fellow hotel guest when I arrived. Had their gorge burger one day and the fried chicken platter the other. Outdoor patio is wonderful in good weather conditions
Price is fine, quality is good, chicken was lacking spice and service could be improved.

Very good coffee and food. I ordered a pretty basic hamburger. The beef was thick and juicy. Came with all the normals on a hamburger. I think the only complaint I had was that the beef was just a little over cooked and that the bun had a little too much butter on it. But other than that, I highly recommend this place!

Update: Return visit to Kickstand for my birthday was delightful. Had a beautiful watermelon salad and poke bowl after hiking nearby. Both dishes were bright, fresh and tasty. Perfect weather to sit on the patio. Most of the patrons were accompanied by well-behaved dogs...so we got our's out of the car to join us. Our server kindly provided all of the doggies individual water bowls ❤ So nice!! Thank you. We will definitely be back.
Food and atmosphere was wonderful. We sat on the front patio. The wait staff were attentive and gracious. Wait times were verrrrry long. We were informed that there was a shortage in the kitchen. I was in good company, so didn't mind. However, if either of us were hungry, it would have been a problem. I feel for restaurant's though. I can't imagine trying to find staff right now.
