Wonderful brunch spot! A relaxing environment in the quaint town of Sylva with many delicious vegan and vegetarian options. We loved how environmentally and socially conscious they were! We are planning an upcoming trip to Sylva because of City of Light Cafe!

A local favorite in downtown! Awesome folks who have taken every precaution possible to continue to serve our community wonderful food during a pandemic while keeping everyone safe.
Be sure to try the crepes and check out the take and bake menu! Healthy and delicious!

This place boasts in “non-discrimination” but they force you to mask up. I guess I’m not allowed to believe what I know to be scientifically proven? If you’re not a flaming liberal, it’s really hard to ignore all the hateful insinuations about your views.
Such a shame, because the food and drinks were pretty decent. I’m just sick of businesses claiming they love/respect everyone when it’s very obvious they don’t. 👎🏼

My daughter and I always do a Friday lunch date. And nearly every week she picks City Lights! The food is kid friendly AND adult friendly. Online ordering makes it super easy(order online before you get there and get it soon after you arrive). We love City Lights!!!
Update:
This is the picture of my daughter's thankful wheel from Thanksgiving. Mom and Dad didn't make it on the wheel BUT City Light's did!

This is my favorite place. 💜 This is a lovely little spot with delightful food. The menu is right up my alley with breakfast/lunch items - light, healthy, and tasteful! Vegan & gluten free options available. They also have a nice little patio that is pet friendly and they do events like wine tastings or live music which is a bonus.
If you haven’t been, I recommend it.

Very friendly and great food. A special place for art, inclusion and good eats. Will be back when we come back into this area.

I tasted a little bit of everything here at City Lights Cafe. I started with soft shelled tacos; I watched as they made the taco shells right in front of me! They were delicious. Then I had a toasted marshmallow latte that was not too sweet and thoroughly satisfying. I finished off my dining experience with a strawberry cheesecake crepe that was off the chain fresh. Dope food, excellent customer service, chill environment with plenty of seating. A+

Came here for a small bite to eat while moving my sister into college (the hotel didn't have anything allergy friendly.) Loved how they were able to accommodate to our needs! I had the gluten free crepe cakes which were phenomenal and a hazelnut latte. Delicious! Very eco friendly and allergy friendly. I will be returning whenever I'm in Sylva!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Sylva! Their vegan options are delicious, and I don't feel limited there at all! The staff are friendly, the place itself has a laid-back atmosphere, and the bookstore upstairs is always fun to browse after enjoying a delicious meal at the cafe.

Average sandwich food, warm coffee and a funky smell served with an Asheville price and attitude on a DIY Sylva dirty table. Over priced and small portions. Skip Sunday Brunch. Oh, and the living wage thing: 15 % tip at the beginning of the experience and you bus your own table? Just let me cook my own food too. The French toast would be bigger than and not taste like a deck of cards.
